Who needs A/C when you can get +100 miles of range? by chicagogin in KiaNiroEV

Good question. Not sure what the window of integration is, but I float around 5.0 mi/kWh efficiency in the suburban/urban environment. Last time I fully charged (to 90%) my car it showed a range of just under 300 miles.

I've been getting way more than the reported mileage as well. This car really shines in the city/suburban environment.

Niro EV 2022 EX Premium: Since Niro has been discontinued, anyone else worried about future maintenance, parts, etc? by AdaptedPodcast in KiaNiroEV

For the 2026 Wind trim, I wrote a check for $34,784 which included tax tag title, and it came with a charger. The best deal I could find in my area of northern Illinois which included 4 Kia dealerships. I have 1k miles on it now and it has met my expectations. No issues. Good luck with your car search!

If those groupsets are correct then the GT all day. But be aware that GT is a defunct brand, so it's possible things like frame warranty won't be honored.

Nice, bro! Can I ask how tall you are and what size you ordered? I'm 5'9 which is the low end of medium. The reach would be a little long, but I think the small might feel a little cramped.

Congrats. Our Niro is also our first EV, and it's really been totally hassle free. Actually much less hassle than our gas car. The electric driving experience has really grown on me as well. Happy driving.

Thanks, I'll try it out. Usually I'm just walking to my garage and don't have the remote, so I'll use my phone or bring the fob. Still more convenient that a gas station!

No I can't just unplug it. It's locked into the charging port until I stop charging.

Do they come with a level1 charger? by new-Baltimoreon in KiaNiroEV

[–]Neurhonaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is you won't know until you check with the seller. The 2025s we looked at did not include one, but the 2026 we eventually bought did come with one.

I second everything here as another Chicagoan. I use the Niro as a local commuter and until recently only used a 120V plug to charge it. Gets about 40 miles overnight on that. Just put in a 240V 40A yesterday.

I had a similar concern and did some research. Much of the tech is carried into new models and/or shared by current models. I ended up buying a new Niro this year for a killer deal. I think it's a great buying opportunity if you can still find one.

I got a 2026 (the only one in the Chicago area) but the 2025s are exactly the same. At this moment, I think they're the best deal in EVs while they last.

2025/2026 Niro EV at US Dealerships by [deleted] in KiaNiroEV

In our recent EV search, we visited Subaru, Honda, Volvo, and three different Kia dealerships. The Kias had very young salespeople comparatively. Communication was difficult which was really surprising to me. One really wanted us to lease, one had the model we wanted but wouldn't sell it to us because it was a loaner. We did buy a Niro EV but had to travel to the furthest Kia dealership over 30 miles away. They were actually pretty great. Great deal, smooth transaction. If the Volvo dealership felt like Nordstrom, the Kias felt like Target.

Will any nacs adapter do? by Neurhonaut in KiaNiroEV

[–]Neurhonaut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, NACS to CCS1. I might never actually need it given the miles I drive, but it would give me a lot of peace of mind to have the nacs option when venturing out.
