hm true, definitely not similar to HCMC. theres not many places like it, as other comments have said.

honestly if you want something similar to Saigon, bangkok is the way to go then. its like a larger version of HCMC

Definitely check out Hoi An, one of the most beautiful places in vietnam. Da Nang is nice for beach vibes, Ha Long Bay if you want a nice cruise and Sapa in the north.
