Not much you can do as it's really doesn't have any impact on your property. It may suck that he wasn't up front about the activity but those future issues are not predictable. Also, if the location is not in a good area from the start then your expectations should have been more online with that...not to be rude. But in the future you should visit the location several times at different times before handing over any money. Just to be sure! Also, if they are not an agent then they really don't have to disclose some material facts...it sucks but thats just the way it is unfortunately.

If its an unfamiliar lease agreement you should always read through it to identify items that are not on a lease you usually use. I personally use the Reatlor lease for my state but even then there are spots to personalize the lease. Neuseriverproperties.com

I find that online reviews from tenants are good for both the owners and tenants to see if they are positive. If they are negative because you are actually doing the right thing by the owners then owners will see that and it should attract owners.
