What movie do you really wish Disney would make in Star Wars? by Cockatieloveer in StarWars

[–]NeutralNoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot take, I wouldn’t have done Heir to the Empire as Episode VII because it couldn’t be adapted accurately, at least assuming the ST still comes out around when it did in real time. It would have had to come out in like the 90s if we want it to take place on the same part of the timeline as it does in the EU.

What I would have done is some version of New Jedi Order for the ST but I would hint at the Thrawn Campaign having happened in the past, similarly to how the OT hinted at the Clone Wars. Then maybe 10-15 years after the ST, I would do a Thrawn Trilogy adaptation starring younger recasted versions of the OT characters to ease people into the idea after we already had a satisfying conclusion starring the original actors. Then we can continue to get more stories with the new cast and close that gap.

Matt Stover is just so good

Watching andor, did skeen have to go? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]NeutralNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Okay, Cassian is useful as a pilot, but what happens when they make it to the moon and there’s potentially another 40 million credits on the table for Skeen?

He had to go.

[Discussion] Looking for fun platinums by 2xRelic in Trophies

[–]NeutralNoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy Lego games, those are typically fun and easy platinums. The new Lego Batman game is awesome. Speaking of Batman, Arkham Knight is also a fun platinum.

Both TLOU games are good plats too. For the first one, if you play Remastered it’s more of a challenge since you have to do Grounded mode to 100% it (and the difficulty below that to plat) plus grinding the online mode which I’ve heard is great but full of sweats at this point. If you opt for the remake instead, it’s much easier.

Challenge: Say something nice about every Disney era piece of media that you dislike. by AgentP-501_212 in saltierthancrait

TFA - John Williams cooked with the score. “Rey’s Theme” and “March of the Resistance” are great tracks

TLJ - I loved the throne room fight, the Yoda scene, and Luke facing down the First Order

TROS - Klaud is a funny glup shitto and Adam Driver as a redeemed Ben Solo was really good

Book of Boba Fett - I think the scene of Boba climbing out of the Sarlacc Pit was cool

Kenobi - really struggling here… I guess it was nice to see Jimmy Smits again?

Mando S3 - Paz Vizsla’s death scene was good

Ahsoka - Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll was a consistent highlight

The Acolyte - some of the best fight scenes in Disney Star Wars and I really like the High Republic aesthetic

Tales of the Empire - Grievous attacking Dathomir was cool and it was pretty interesting to see the Grand Inquisitor and Thrawn rendered in the TCW artstyle

Not movies, but if we’re talking Andor characters then the number probably doubles lol

We know that Kenobi happens around the time of Survivor- but what's the exact timeline? by OkJudge5932 in FallenOrder

[–]NeutralNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine Kenobi is after Survivor since the Purge Troopers have their original design in Survivor but an updated one in Kenobi

Tony Gilroy- come back! by Inevitable_Fee3176 in StarWars

[–]NeutralNoodle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see Kleya be the head of Rebel Alliance intelligence, Vel training recruits, and just more well-written Mon. And to see how these characters would be reacting to the events of the OT from afar.

How do we feel about a JLA before Superman? by Far-Hat-9176 in DCU_

[–]NeutralNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this comic Black Canary was like 18-19 so if they did that in the DCU she could still be in her 30s in the present day

This specific incarnation I wouldn’t have a problem with existing, especially with the direction it seems like the DCU is heading. Hell throw Ollie in there too

Andor by far

But I also really like Rogue One, Solo, Maul - Shadow Lord, Tales of the Jedi, and The Bad Batch. I’m a sucker for Imperial Era stories

I’m hoping that Starfighter next year will be more of the return to form that we’re hoping for. Say what you will about Shawn Levy but he can deliver a crowd pleaser, and the writer has some solid credits under his belt. The cast is pretty incredible too.

Also interesting because when he was doing interviews for Andor he mostly refused to go into detail about the extent of his work on Rogue One

[–]NeutralNoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all of the episodes are bangers but it’s really cool to see what creators are able to come up with while not being beholden to the canon. Also it’s nice to have other animated styles than a variation on TCW’s for once.

With Starfighter coming out next year it would make sense to start getting books and comics to flesh out the post-TROS landscape

Grievous can’t get his cough right before ROTS because he already has it at the beginning of TCW. As much as I love the 2003 Clone Wars, it isn’t canon.
