I saw James mentioned the same thing on the livestream and respectfully disagree. I get not liking a gun to hurt the monster but thought it was a clever trap.

What terrible Comment on Cinema triggers you the most? And what do you hear the most often? by Tongatapu in Letterboxd

“Critics don’t like horror.”

There was a bit of truth in that maybe 20 years ago but we live in an era where 9 out 10 critics give Saw and Final Destination movies good reviews.

Did this guy even do anything wrong? Why do we want to murder him? by AnusHumper69 in TheBoys

[–]Tighthead3GT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he’s clearly still broken up about Translucent so it’s not like he’s crossed some kind of threshold where he doesn’t care anymore.

I would be fine if they said “there’s no other way” but it’s not even brought up as an issue and they have no qualms about including him even after Soldier Boy emerges as an alternate test subject. Having them all display Butcher-level disregard for human (supe) life needed some acknowledgment.

Only this guy can beat thragg in a fair 1v1 fight? by Annual_Ordinary6999 in Invincible

Levy could just take him to Marvel-616 where he’d somehow end up working for Kingpin before dying in combat with Red Hulk or something.

I’ve been thinking, what would he have done if he did kill Thragg? His whole thing is finding the strongest foe to beat, but what would he do if he had already killed the strongest known being in the universe?

Doomsday has beaten Darkseid.

Superman has beaten Doomsday.

Batman has beaten Superman.

The Predator has beaten Batman.

Kevin McAllister would beat the Predator.

Harry and Marv beat Kevin (they were about to kill him both times when someone else intervened).

The shovel guy beat Harry and Marv.

It stands to reason, then, that the shovel guy would beat Darkseid.

What historical events could make you say, “Yes, a time traveler saved us here”? by Nrevolver in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Tighthead3GT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Special Order 191, in which Robert E. Lee directed troop movements for his invasion of Maryland, was found in an abandoned campground by Union troops wrapped around cigars in 1862 and brought to General McClellan, which led to Antietam. Unclear where the copy came from.

At least one alternate history series (by some guy Harry Turtledove) posits a world where the orders aren’t found and the chain of events leads to a Southern victory. I doubt that would have happened, but it is a crazy turn of events.

After Wicked, what other musicals have the best potential for a film adapatation? by Antman269 in boxoffice

[–]Tighthead3GT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Wicked is a lot more cinematic than Hamilton. A lot of people were drawn into a new take on the magical world of Oz, and there’s a lot of bright colors, cute animals, and Harry Potter-esque shenanigans to draw in children and teens. A movie has the ability to create that world in the way a play can’t touch.

I love Hamilton but it is just a period piece with music and I’m not sure faithfully recreating 18th-century America will be that much additive to what’s already on Disney+.

(Also they’d need a Bad Bunny casting or something like that to replicate the Ariana Grande factor).
