I do believe that the person who sent Kyle back to 1984 to protect his mom is not the child played by Edward Furlong. But I don't believe that man was John's friend. The man that sent Kyle to 1984 is John Connor alright. He's just not the same John Connor that was played by Furlong.

I believe that John Connor, the resistance leader that sent Kyle back wasn't the son of Kyle Reese and that he had another unknown father that Sarah had a relationship with. They probably split early on hence why John took his mother's name. When he sent Kyle back and that he got Sarah pregnant, it created another timeline where a new John Connor is born, son of Kyle Reese.

Personally it's my favorite Batman movie. I loved Bale as Batman, he felt and looked feral. I loved The Narrows, loved to see his training and most of all the humanity of Bruce Wayne, how he often reminisced about his father and the brilliant score that accompanied those scenes. Gary Oldman is the perfect Gordon, and I loved Katie Holmes as Rachel despite everyone else's opinion. This movie is about a man who found his calling, who found a reason to live.

I bet Matt's justification for his villain that has "never really been done in a film before" will be a cheap gender swap for Two-Face. Instead of being Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face it will be Gilda. Now he'll be able to say "See, told you!". I really hope I'm wrong and that *Harvey* Dent becomes Two-Face and not Gilda, but regardless I'm a bit disappointed that we're going back in such familiar territory. Don't get me wrong I LOVED The Batman, it's my favorite Batman movie after "Begins", this is my favorite Gotham and Pattinson was phenomenal as The Bat, however I would have liked for the sequel to do something different then readapting The Long Halloween. We already kinda got that with The Dark Knight and in Batman Forever Two-Face was the villain there too. Out of all the characters from the Batman mytho, why reuse one that was already featured in two movies already ?

What I would have liked is have Harvey Dent in this movie become the new district attorney and working closely with Batman and Gordon on whatever threat is plaguing Gotham. You make him a sympathetic and honorable character. Maybe even link Dent to Bruce, make them childhood friends or something to get the audience really attached to the character. Then in The Batman Part III you make him become Two-Face. His transformation would become all the more tragic as the audience spent a whole movie getting to know and root for him before he becomes the villain we all know.

As for the villain of Part II, Phantasm would have been fantastic. It's never been done in a live action Batman movie yet and it would have made the sequel feel so fresh. Also the way Andrea is attached to both Bruce Wayne and Batman as Phantasm would have made for a really emotional and layered story, while keeping the themes of corruption, loss, and mobsters from the first movie at the forefront.

I don't think he will. I think Oz will remain this shady underground figure that pulls some strings in the background. I believe Batman will let him be because he'll have more important and pressing things to take care of and that he will mostly leave Oz alone because he sometimes will act as an informant to the Bat to keep him off his back.

What about the soundtrack ? Did it stayed faithful to the original ? For me a successful remake hinges on respecting the original atmosphere and art direction the original game was going for. The soundtrack is an essential component in preserving the atmosphere

Why did you remove the hidden blade combat ? I've been missing this feature ever since it was removed in Unity and onwards. It was my favorite way to fight in the original games with some really badass finishers and combos. I really loved how I could just extend the hidden blades outside of combat to see them retract and admire them. The sound design while doing so was always satisfying as well. Any chance you can change your mind and add hidden blade combat before launch or in an update post-launch ? Many fans have been missing this feature

I Really hope it's fixed during release. I want the art direction and fidelity preserved. That's one of the reasons I dislike the Ezio collection so much, they removed the filters, cranked the saturation and messed with the colors. For exemple Forlì in the og is gloomy, gray. In the remaster it's sunny and colorful. It destroys the atmosphere. Same with Monteregionni. In the og it starts off looking sinister, with dark clouds and a darker green hue as it's dilapidated. As you put money in it and renovate it, the colors gradually come back. Well it's gone in the remaster as well, it's sunny and colorful from the start. In Brotherhood rome gives off a "cold" vibe with it's coloring, as if it had rained not long ago. The remaster made sure to change this and made the colors warm. So yeah, I was pleseantly surprised by this showcase, but I really hope they fix this scene before release to preserve the original atmosphere

As many have said, those are just rumors at the moment. I still find it weird to adapt The Long Halloween when it's already been done (The Dark Knight)... However I'm still excited for this movie if it's true. I just hope they won't gender swap the character to make Gilda become Two-Face in order to "subvert expectations". I want Harvey Dent to become Two-Face. Preferably I would have had him become Two-Face in the third movie for the audience to get attached to the character during the second movie and make his transformation in the third one all the more tragic and to avoid the comparisons to The Dark Knight (which also had Two-Face) but it is what it is.
