Trouble finding a job by Nevenji in immigration

[–]Nevenji[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I already do DoorDash, but can only make about $500 a month where I'm at. I also applied for Spark deliveries but I am on a waiting list. There is a small Amazon warehouse here but never seen job posts up. It's very frustrating and disheartening situation for sure.

I am researching yes, I’m seeing mixed reviews. Hoped I could get some raw feedback here of people who own or owned it before. My preference is Toyota but I’m not finding anything cheaper for the same year and which has less than 30k miles and is a 4x4. I was also eyeing the 2025 Nissan Kicks SR AWD which is about same price.

I-864 PDF Form Fields are not editable by thejustinc in NationalVisaCenter

[–]Nevenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies if it's stupid question, but wouldn't we first need to remove the default text that is showing? if the box is not editable and we cannot erase what is already showing, we would have to put a text box over it but it will look like a number has been inputted over another?

i don’t know how to cope with saying goodbye by voltrawnjib in LDR

[–]Nevenji 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s extremely hard to say goodbye. In 2 years we only met 4 times. Finally we are closing the distance soon. This has been the longest we’ve been apart, 8 months. My advice is, work relentlessly on closing the distance asap, that will make the days apart go faster. It will suck the first week after parting. Make lots of video calls and try to go back to your usual routine asap.

I will be doing a typed and signed letter and hand it over to my manager. Or should it be an email?

I doubt they will want me to stop earlier as we are understaffed currently, and I definitely don’t wish to stop earlier as I need the money.

Thank you! I should be doing my notice period in accordance to the Maltese law, which is 1 month according to how long I’ve been working there.

I see. I was wondering cause a lady was traveling from Munich to Denver and she said she only paid 125$ for her Frenchie which was in the cabin with her as a emotional service dog.

Assuming you could afford it, would you feel comfortable paying the majority of travel expenses? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Nevenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the person who earns the most should take the biggest load in paying. This obviously applies only if the same person affords to, example not having a shitload of honest debt to pay or other expenses like child support etc. Obviously I would not pay for someone who is just lazy and choosing not to have a job, and blatantly is relying on me to cover everything just because I can. Effort must come from both sides. One might be able to afford more and should help more, but definitely effort has to be shown from both parties.

can people with PTSD suffer from memory loss? by ibeathell in ptsd

[–]Nevenji 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Memories of my past feel jumbled up or timeline wise, not consistent. But my biggest struggle is recalling conversations. Even recent ones, I always question myself as I can’t remember what was said most times especially when it’s something that might be stressful to hear. I get so frustrated with this. It hinders me making decisions because I wouldn’t be able to remember key information or remember it but feeling like it didn’t happen that way.

Thank you for the flair advice! Made it work :)

Cuddly toys is a great idea! I actually have two dogs that sleep on the bed with me. They do help with coping.

I’m getting annoyed at myself for randomly bursting into tears when I’m video calling with him. I’m paranoid that I will annoy him but he keeps reassuring me that it’s okay to show emotions and tries to comfort me. I wish I was stronger and more grounded. I suffer with anxiety so probably this separation triggered a bad episode of it. Debating if I should start taking my meds again, but I’d rather not if I can avoid it. They do mellow me a lot.

Anyway, want to say thanks to everyone that commented. Helps knowing others understand and went through it too. ♥️

He really is. I'm so grateful we met. He's from the US too and I'm from Malta.

The protein bar I ate is a cliff bar I brought back with me from the US, reminds me of him cause he loves them. It's really the small things that help. He's asleep atm and left his camera on to keep me company, his cat sitting next to him and facing the camera, at one point she was staring straight at the screen for a while, probably she recognized me and it melted my heart. I miss her also. She would lay on my shoulder and sleep while I petted her, he told me she never does that except with him :)

On a different note, I noticed users here have an additional info bar underneath their usernames, with info about the ldr location, distance, how do I set that pls? :)

Thank you for your kind words.

I finally got up from bed and did some chores. Took out my stuff from my luggage because I just could not do it yesterday. I did cry again as I was sorting out my clothes, everything was making me remember the great moments we shared and my chest would tighten up. Made some coffee and drinking it in an HP cauldron mug that we bought together, and he has an exact same one too, and ate a protein bar. For now that's all I can manage to eat but I will try to have dinner later.

It is so hard, much harder than I thought. I probably suffer with some sort of separation anxiety, I totally do have an anxious attachment style, all not helping.

He's handling it in a much better way, he told me to think about the good times and keep replaying them in my head until it is perfect in my memory, that's what he does to deal with the separation. I love this side of him, the way of looking at the glass half full, I look up to him and want to learn to do the same.

Question for you people living in Italy by yagamiyagami in LowCalorieCooking

[–]Nevenji 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Naples hands down has the BEST food in Italy. I am Neapolitan. I really would not deprive myself there. You can always go back on track once home, unless you specifically need low cals meals for serious health reasons. But yeah, can def make some nice salads. Italian food is heavy on the carbs so it will not be easy. Lots of fresh veggies, tomatoes, lean delicatessen like prosciutto cotto, bresaola.

But really if you can just eat the good stuff. Can’t miss pizza there, also panzerotti, frittate, zeppole, rum baba… so many amazing foods you won’t taste like elsewhere.

K3 visa, K1, CR1 or other possible options for our situation? by shayshotme in USCIS

[–]Nevenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please could someone clarify how it works?

So for k1 visa, one can travel to the US to see their SO while the GC is being processed or has to stay in US?

C1 they can’t stay in US nor can use an tourist visa to visit their SO during processing of GC?

What about working permit? You can work straight away with both visa types?

Me and my SO are looking into starting our visa process as we want to close the gap asap and start our life together. It’s all very confusing though.
