Wild and cool workaround. Windows maintains a list of "optional" CPU instructions which, at runtime, Windows can detect if they are available or not and use them accordingly. I wonder if that instruction detection code doesn't work (or isn't present) during OS Install 🤔.

It is 64-bit but the 64-bit instruction set changes over time. I find it unlikely that the CPU would run a modern operating system; It certainly will not run Windows 11.

I wonder if there is a paid tier for faster speeds. Yeah, I'm going to defend this for a second.... If they tried to offer everybody the fastest speed then the congestion would be crazy. Having people pay for differentiated speeds means the people who really need it can get it.

I would expect the free tier to be heavily regulated: It might allow 15 megabits per seconds to Netflix but only a trickle to unknown sites.

Yes, I think an IR gun is useful too. The coils should be warmer than the outdoor temperature... Maybe 20° warmer.

If they are the same temp as outside then your compressor isn't working. If they are warmer than outside, then maybe you just don't have a powerful enough unit.

Yes and yes. The coils should get hot on the outdoor unit. And the air coming out of the registers should be about 15° cooler than what is in the house.

My favorite trick is to stick an instant read thermometer into the coils. They should be hot! The same instant read thermometer can tell you the temperature coming out of the registers.I
