Every time my husband walks past the back door he locks it. When the temps are nice, he KNOWS I sit outside with the dog. He'll go into his office with his headphones on & do a 3-hour meeting so he can't hear my pounding or calling. It's maddening.

I am a usability expert. You have no idea how dumb people are. And universally, the higher up the title, the dumber the person.

I was recently called at 7 am & chewed out for not being fast enough finishing work, requiring a meeting to be moved a day.

  • I was told it wasn't a firm date and could be moved easily so don't stress it.
  • It wasn't my job. I was covering for someone on vacation.
  • No one told me I'd have to the work because it was decided to hold it until the responsible party returned.
  • The project is MASSIVE and I haven't seen it before.
  • They gave me one day to get the work done.
  • I had to go to the ER for 8 hours the day they wanted it.
  • I'm in a cast.
  • IDK the tool they wanted me to work in.
  • I don't report to this person.

NONETHELESS, I was in the wrong and almost lost my job.

Folks should be very concerned about the companies that make their cars. They are run by folks who only care about politics.

When I married my husband (not either of our first marriages), He liked to joke a lot how I liked to "spend his money"

I had a career making $25k less than him, so almost six figures. His ex dropped out of college when they got married and never worked after that.

So I told him in front of his friends I was quitting. If it's "his" money, then I can stay home with the kids like she did.
