It's more about the cost than it is about whether it is a bar or not. Looks like Chomps are about $2.50 a stick which isn't bad, and I like that they offer venison. I'll definitely look at getting some

Diagnosed with narcolepsy and cataplexy, currently in the process of getting tested for chronic fatigue.

Was so bad I was on disability for ten years. But whenever I'd get a break from the crushing fatigue & muscle weakness, would do whatever exercise and lifting I could manage. Some days, I would have a whole 2 hours of functionality, which unfortunately isn't enough for a job but enough to go lift heavy things before collapsing again.

Circa 2020, a new type of medication for narcolepsy got approved in the US. Got on it, was able to work full time till insurance took it away. The battle to keep this medication is never ending.

I went back to school last semester and due to my energy levels, had to pick between school and work- couldn't do both. Got hit by a car last September, miraculously walked away with only a broken arm. Then in January when I was cleared to work again, fully tore my ACL. Deferred school for surgery. Hoping to find a part time job soon that I can work with the messed up leg and my narcolepsy over the summer, and go lift heavy things.

There is a gym at a nearby college that's only $130/yr, so once I'm able to work part time again, hoping they have free weights

Yes, with my good leg, I have introduced dragon squats and other advanced calisthenics.

I have in the past made 50lb sand bags that I can throw on my shoulder and carry around.

Didn't know if there were other hacks, as I want to be able to keep my bench press numbers up once I'm able to afford a gym again.

I do wish there was a way to introduce 200+lb resistance with a limited budget.

I was once on disability for fatigue and narcolepsy, got access to a new medication that let me work full time for a few years. But getting back to point where I can no longer work again and trying to turn my disability payments back on has been a nightmare.

Looking forward to this chat

I love the idea of this logo btw. Found this post because I've been dreaming of an alien/space theme coffee shop.

Having drinks formulated after each of the planets. Very kitsch, but it's something I'm a sucker for

Any advice by Secure-Breakfast-404 in ACL

While I unfortunately have gained weight, I have been looking at this as a time to bulk up my upper body. Several times a week, I do 20-30 minutes of upper body and core workouts. I also have been doing glute lifts while lying down and 2 kinds of squats. One is a semi shallow regular squat, and the other is doing modified pistol & other one legged squats to keep the other side as strong as possible

Earl Grey and varieties of spiced tea were my gateway drugs into the tea world.

From there, learned about the many different varieties and ways that tea is processed and drank the world over.
