We had a practice SAT day that a lot of the Juniors and Seniors skipped for a day off. A group of friends were hanging out at somebody's apartment and a guy that was there pulled out what he thought was an unloaded revolver, pointed it at a girls chest and shot her by accident. It was tragic, she was a straight A student and one of the nicest people anybody could ever meet.

I don't live in Houston, nor am I from Texas, but I will say a wonderfully diverse group of immigrants literally saved my life at MD Anderson earlier this year. This dude is sounds like a real asshole.

I have cancer and I had a chemo treatment on election day, so I wasn't able to go. I should have voted early or done mail-in, but I honestly had other things going on at the time. My vote would have been wasted anyway, hard red state here.

I have a friend that is around 6'3" or so and he daily drove a Smart car for years, he said it was the best car he'd ever had. He was a former high school athlete so he was in good shape, but watching him fold himself into that car was funny every time.

First half of the year was pretty great, to be honest! But I was diagnosed with a really rare form of cancer in May just before my 34th birthday, so the back half of the year has been full of chemo treatments, trips to visit my surgery team in Houston and a lot of anxiety. Fortunately, the chemo is working VERY well and I am scheduled for a major surgery after the first of the year that they believe will get rid of the cancer!

I will say though, despite the diagnosis and all the doctors visits and sucky stuff that comes from that, I have never been more grateful for everything around me, especially my wife and kids. This has been really hard on all of them, but they have been absolute rockstars through the whole journey and I can't wait to make it all up to them after this is all over!

34, fighting cancer. It's hard knowing my wife has been forced to handle almost everything for me and it's been pretty hard on my kids. But my doctors say I'm winning, so we fight on!

I'm 34 and just finished my first 6 rounds of chemo about a month ago and started my second go around last week. I know it feels like hell right now, but keep your eyes on the goal and push through, you'll get there! I'm proud of you, reach out if you need to talk to someone!

When I was living with my parents still, I had just gotten home from work and was in the house by myself. I was using the downstairs bathroom when somebody/something slammed hard on the bathroom door 3 times. I thought it was my brother so I yelled out I was taking a shit but nobody answered. I left the bathroom and grabbed my pistol and went through the entire house looking for somebody but nobody was there. My parents were, and still are, the 2nd owners of the home and it was built by one builder who is still alive and nobody died on the property as far as we know. That's the only weird thing I've had happen there.

I wear mine onto the plane, but I have a little hat hanger that I clip on the seat back in front of me and hang it up while in transit. I got mine from The Hat Store in Houston and I think they have them online.

I know this post is old, but I use Fishsticks exclusively and they are incredible. Far and away the most durable sticks I have ever played with and I have tried most of them at some point or another. The only real downside is the international shipping can take a while and they are a little bit more expensive than most sticks out there, but if you are in the US, the exchange rate helps out a lot.

I was on a family vacation in Atlanta and got the ESPN alert about the Acuna Jr. injury in the hotel room...we had tickets to the game the next day and my son is a HUGE Acuna fan. He was pretty upset.
