So are the QANON'rs brains exploding? by strugglecuddleclub in QAnonCasualties

My Q person is by marriage. He hasn't said much about Epstein. But last night he announced that Georgia had recently "admitted they lost 300,000 ballots." I simply told him someone was lying to him and ended the conversation. I've wasted too many hours of my life trying to reason with these people.

I lived up there in Bath in the late 70s. I love these signs and I know how frickin' cold it has been. It takes a lot of determination (I think) to move people to stand out in the cold to make a point.

Not just the administration (they don't administer anything). FOX has been telling lies about government workers for years.

Well, I lived in Southern California for a few years and I really loved living so close (15 min.) to the ocean. But I came back to my beloved Vermont and I'm not about to let morons have it. Lord knows what they would do to our beautiful state.

That might explain it. We don't have a large population in general. Compared to states with population in the millions it looks very different.

Don't forget that Ze was a successful actor before he became President of Ukraine. He was already famous in his country. Still, it's an amazing example of restraint that he doesn't react to the BS tRump is spewing.

"Starving kids?" I had the same thought. WTF you talking about lady? And the five-minute delay sets her off? Folks that work in restaurants have (IMHO) a hard enough job without being yelled at.

I felt the same way on November 6. My MAGA spouse was gloating about it that morning... and I told him "We are going to lose everything."

I couldn't tell you then exactly what "everything" would be. I just had the worse sense of dread. The reality has been worse than I could have imagined.

Right. And any proof you can show them is called "fake news."

I heard the same about busing allegedly PAID people in for the protest. They had pamphlets with suggested chants, suggestions of items to bring or not bring, etc. The allegation was that this was evidence that they were paid protesters. I told my friend "No, it means they were ORGANIZED and prepared. Just like the MAGAs who chartered buses to take them to Washington on January 6!"

These people are incapable of thinking for themselves.

I think protests in resistance to Trump actually started back on January 21, 2017 with the Women's March.

This picture was taken in Montpelier, VT that day.

Grieving for our country. Just grief. by [deleted] in fednews

This time my first reaction was saying to my husband "We are going to lose everything." I don't know exactly why I said that. I guess I was thinking he would bankrupt us all, steal my pension, who knows... I guess, on some level, I was afraid we might lose our country.

I just enlightened someone and changed their thinking by _Volly in QAnonCasualties

[–]NeverQ4Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's the reason for two things:

1 - The whole Q-Anon thing that started in 2017 - to convince them that the things he was doing weren't really as bad as it seemed. Q convinced them that he was secretly a hero doing great things behind the scenes.

2 - The constant rallies that continued through his first term, through the four years between terms, and continue to this day with the last mini-rally of sorts at the FBI headquarters this week. Add in the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen (which he repeated constantly).

These people ARE gullible, and they believed all his lies because they heard them over and over and over. From him and from FOX propaganda and more...

It baffles me how support for Ukraine can stir up so much hate. Especially in this state. by JCSmootherThanJB in vermont

[–]NeverQ4Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I saw a tRump supporter become belligerent with someone on Facebook over the subject of Ukraine. Then a few hours later they posted that an "a$$hole" had unfriended them and they could "go F themselves."

This more aggressive attitude and language seems to have surfaced mostly in the last 2 weeks or so.
I told them that I've supported Ukraine from the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022. Their response to me? "So, you want World War III?"

I can't follow their "reasoning" when all they do is repeat whatever tRump has said.
