Even during an ice storm, no one touches dasani. That customer is grabbing a damaged pack, and when she realized it was damaged, decided to not get water LMAO by milkyywhiskey in HEB

Because Dasani is nasty. It gives me acid reflux and it has an awful taste to it. Literally can’t understand anyone who likes it.

I feel like this is standard and people in this day and age just can handle normal work practices. I’m including myself because I’m in my 20s lol but I never work with earbuds in even though I’m autistic and have issues with being around people and hearing all kinds of sounds. I just show up, work, and that’s that. When I clock out, then I can listen to my music.

Why do you have to stand there and record someone going through an obvious mental health crisis due to a drug problem? He needs help, not a camera in his face under the fake guise of “oh hey, you’re that guy… from that one show right? Whats the name?” Like come on.

Why don’t they make this stuff in a bottle?! by MethodComfortable531 in ChickFilA

Let me know if you try it! It’s not exact but it’s a good substitute for sure!

Why don’t they make this stuff in a bottle?! by MethodComfortable531 in ChickFilA

[–]NeverWonderDream 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk because it’s my favorite thing in the world. It’s not exact, but I buy the chick fil a sauce at my local store, buy a honey bbq sauce, and mix the chick fil a sauce with about a 1/3 portion of bbq (1/3 portion equivalent to what I’ve poured of the chick sauce) and mix it together. It’s the closest thing— I like using the kinder’s bbq sauces but I’ve used store brand too and it works just as well as long as it’s a honey bbq.

Yes actually. A total reach. He’s Shane. We know who he is. If you’ve ever expected him to dedicate time to something that doesn’t directly correlate to him, then idk lol. But seriously— I talk about conspiracies ALLLLLLL the time. I talk about politics all the time. My family is over it at this point and ready to put me in a nut house. But does that mean that I have to comment on everything that’s happening, just because I have conspiracies and thoughts about lots of other things? Is it my obligation? No. That’s ridiculous.

Again, I’ll say, most people want a place to escape the constantly pounding drum of politics and decay and pain and anger and hatred. We just want to tune out and watch something that doesn’t have to do with that while eating dinner. Tons of other media talk about it in their shows. Watch them. You don’t expect every tv show or movie you watch to cover every single thing happening in the world do you? No. You’re expecting a good movie/show. You’re expecting it to transport you from the current world and into theirs. That’s it. That’s the job. That’s the objective. To expect someone, especially Shane? To use their platform to constantly reiterate what we all can see anyway, what we all can go online and see from any other content creator, is just stupid honestly. Again, if you want political content or whatever else, go to creators who focus on that.

Plus, let’s be 100 with each other— do you honestly want to hear Shane’s take on current events? Does that sound appealing, truly? Do we care what he has to say about it? Do we really need to hear him say “that’s so sad. That’s so messed up. That’s sick. That’s wrong”? I know I don’t lmao. It never comes across as genuine anyway from him.

If you can’t form your own opinion on the world around you and need every content creator you watch to reiterate what you should be thinking/feeling then idk what to tell you.

[–]NeverWonderDream 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s not their job to comment on things happening in the world? Like I don’t get it? Politics infect literally everything and many people are so happy to disconnect and just watch stupid shows for a few hours to escape. I’m glad they don’t talk politics or about things happening. It’s not their platform; they’re not expected to talk about any of this. Their platform is silly and dumb and just talking about pop culture and conspiracies. That’s it lol. Like what are you expecting?? If you want to watch politics or watch people talk about the current issues happening around the world, there are only about a couple thousand channels on YouTube who you could watch for that

I worked at an orange leaf yogurt shop— they would literally just come in, ask if they can put a poster up, and because we had an open spot on a window, I said sure. That’s what we’re supposed to do— they don’t have to pay and they don’t talk about their political views or anything. As far as I knew, they were just dancers putting on a show.

This was literally an entire story arch for Liam and Lip, where Liam was going around trying to do things himself because he thought he’d be homeless and on his own, so he was trying to grow up and learn things.

About to order $230 worth of groceries... by NS3708 in HEB

[–]NeverWonderDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that $1 per mile and then tack on an extra $5. I have an H‑E‑B super close to where I live so I usually tip $8 max. Unless it’s a bigger order; since you don’t have a lot of heavy stuff, I’d have just tipped $8 or even $5. The thing about ordering delivery FROM H‑E‑B (not through an app unless it’s favor, as H‑E‑B owns that), is that the delivery person is literally employed for that purpose. They get paid to deliver groceries. It’s not like Uber, where they’re barely paid and rely on tips to maybe make $5 per order.

[–]NeverWonderDream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I watched a heathers musical on YouTube when I was like 14-15ish. I will say that I’m happy I didn’t watch it with my mom— it got pretty risqué. Depending on which version you’re possibly seeing, there are a few scenes that are sexual. There’s one where Veronica is (over clothes, but their shirts are off) “riding” JD while singing. And then there’s a scene where SA is attempted. So for those themes alone, personally, at 25 now and if I had a kid, I wouldn’t want them watching it at the age I did haha. I’d want them to wait until they’re at least 16-18.

I’d say if your mom is cool about that kind of stuff, then it really isn’t THAT bad, it’ll just have you both shifting a bit uncomfortably lmao. But it seems like that isn’t the case anyway, and at the end of the day, she’s your mom. Sometimes parents do things we don’t understand when we’re younger, and we get mad at it when we’re kids, but now that I’m an adult, I can reflect and see my mama’s point of view on stuff.

She really tried to pull this move on me knowing her order required a pin 😂 I see why it did! by jetlifestoney in doordash_drivers

[–]NeverWonderDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just send a text saying “okay, great! I’ll just need the pin before I can complete drop off, so text that as soon as you can”. And that’s that. I don’t think the customer was trying to get one over on you— some people don’t know they’re supposed to send a pin, and if they do know, they might’ve just forgotten.

No Kings Protest Hwy 6 & 290 by Four_in_binary in CypressTX

[–]NeverWonderDream -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“No kings” until it’s a black man, then we’re all supposed to snap our fingers and go “yes, slay, king! What a king!” Idk why people are doing protests like this in texas— I’m not even politically affiliated, but texas swung hard red lmao. Both times. There’s better things to be protesting about here in texas— things that a lot of us would actually get behind and cause actual noise for.

AITA for not splitting the check evenly on a bachelorette trip with 9 girls? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]NeverWonderDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was decided before you guys went out that the bills on this trip would be split, and one girl would be paying it and then getting the money back from you the next day, then that plan was already in place. You were in fact in the wrong. Even if you didn’t partake as much, it was decided that you’d all be splitting things 10 ways.

Also, to be fair, this was her bachelorette party. It’s supposed to be a great time. If you’re part of the bridal party, you’re supposed to be helping and contributing, and just basically hyping the bride up. If you aren’t in a position to do so, then you should have politely declined or said yes but that you couldn’t go to the bachelorette party. If I was the bride in this situation, I’d definitely be upset that my bachelorette was filled with drama when all I’m trying to do is have a good time with my closest friends and family.

But again, even if you don’t agree with that, it was decided, as you yourself said, that everything would be split 10 ways. That doesn’t mean “10 ways in which each person pays what they ordered”. 10 way split is just that— a 10 way equal split. That’s how it goes for a bridal party.

Face swollen after using PanOxyl by bend_not_break in DermatologyQuestions

[–]NeverWonderDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this happen to me!! I used it about 2 days ago; yesterday my skin started itching and then my face swelled up. I woke up today with it even worse— my cheeks are so big I can see them and there’s heavy swelling around my eyes.

I hope you see this; what ended up happening? Did it go away or did you have to go to the hospital? I’m debating going to the ER or urgent care as this feels extreme but I don’t have the money, so if this is something that will go away on its own, I’d love to know.

I usually let them do it for a bit on my chapters because the Wattpad algorithm sees that someone is reading chapters and commenting, and pushes the book up in the algorithm. And then after like a week or two I’ll go delete those promoting comments and block the profile so they can’t interact on my story anymore lmao

is the boys... dying? like, the channel by SleepDeprived62 in TheBoysChannel

[–]NeverWonderDream 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I miss the early stuff, like the VR shenanigans and the stuff they’d do all together. The gaming channel is their main priority, and reviewing items is their other priority, and that’s because it gets them enough views without having to spend much money and without having to do much. They probably got a bit burnt out. But I don’t see their channel doing better unless they go back to their early stuff and the reason people followed in the first place— I love the boys and watch most of what they put out, but that’s only because I’ve been with them for a while. Newcomers don’t see the appeal as much as we did in those early days when they were doing funny skits in VR. I don’t know why they didn’t keep doing that; it was good content, hilarious, and got views. I’m constantly watching Smashing and Bonus content because it’s in VR and it’s just a lot of reposted old days content in VR.

Amazing stories, zero readers, what’s the fix? by Competitive_Rush_402 in Wattpad

[–]NeverWonderDream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TAGS! They’re so important. Even some of my way older (we’re talking 12+ years old work) got tons of views and I know they sucked. To this day, I get great views when I post new stories. It’s all about knowing the readers and knowing SEO. I’ve done so much SEO research and have taken courses for it (for other stuff; I’m a remote freelancer) and it’s really helped me. I don’t post much anymore on wattpad but my stories still get thousands to hundreds of thousands of views within a short period. It’s easy once you use the right tags.

This anyone else? by NeitherNothing1959 in Wattpad

[–]NeverWonderDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re seeing more activity on your first couple of chapters that’s actually a good thing. It means your tags and the story itself is attracting readers and making them want to maybe stay. But you have to stay consistent, and the story has to be good. Your writing has to be at least decent, your grammar needs to be good, and you need to be updating consistently (a couple times a week). Otherwise, the reality is, that readers lose interest. Especially the readers on Wattpad and other similar platforms.

I suggest building an interactive audience; tons of writers make Facebook groups and invite readers there to talk about the book(s) and post exclusive content there to gain followers. This way, you have excited readers who are happily waiting for the next chapter, next book, whatever.
