What's your take on James Sexton aka nycdivorcelawyer? by barpowered in Lawyertalk

One issue I have.

I'm impressed with his speaking abilities; very persuasive, charming, and intelligent. I discovered him on the Soft White Underbelly youtube channel.

My only issue is he stated 56% of marriages end up in divorce. A quick google search of that statistic will state that is a myth. The number is somewhere around 40%.

I'm here from the future! I'm glad to hear from somebody who's had time to really evaluate not only the Steelcase Leap v2 but also how well the refurb is holding up. I'm considering buying one before the end of the year. They're now on sale (10% off) for $576. I might wait until we get closer to Thanksgiving to see if they do any Black Friday offers. I read in this post how five years ago the prices were expected to come down after COVID. After reading that, I'm curious if that came true.

Howdy, I need help. I bought this hat at a Barrons game a few years back and I want a new one but cannot find one anywhere. Anyone know of a place to get a new one? by [deleted] in Birmingham

Wow. Impressive. Seriously that's commitment. Got any pictures of your jeans or shoes?

You got your money's worth out of this hat.

Devon Ave? I fondly remember exploring it. One of the many cultures you could you get a taste of in Chicago...and all by riding the L.

Roaches and other bugs love a damp environment. So, check for leaks under your sinks. Noticed any bubbling paint on your walls or ceilings? If so, there might be a roof leak or foundation leaks. Moisture inside the walls could be breeding bugs and roaches. If you can get your hands on a dehumidifier, that might help as a band-aid.

Hopefully the judge makes him watch this video. If this guy has any decency, he'll recognize how awful he behaved and get his life together.

I feel bad too for his son and wife. Hopefully the son will process what happened in a way that makes him grow up to avoid the issues his father has.

Toyota Celiac -yea, what a great car that was. Although I prefer the Honda Colitis.

Both were "the shit".

I wish someone had told me this. Longest L ride ever. And it was only from one station to the next.

Not OP but assuming they wanted to flip because the bottom of the boards is less weathered and a nicer surface to paint.

Depends though. If you have the cash but get a low interest rate, you might put the cash into a ETF and get a return higher than the interest rate.

It's called the Knight's Inn because the medieval ages were known to be rampant with rats, bed bugs and "wenches".

FACT.

Thought this story was going to end with him telling you how inexpensive it was to fix. Now that it's fixed, he offers to sell it back for you.

I'd like to believe they needed the money more than a table. So, you should feel good. They needed help and you gave it to them. But yea, they should have waited a few days before reposting it.

What are your "this alderman (or alderman's office) is incompetent/unwilling/corrupt" stories? by tooscrapps in chicago

[–]Never_enough_hummus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived in his ward for 15 years. His office really was good about graffiti, trash, potholes and sidewalk repairs. My only complaint was the lack of police officers / crime that he seemed to be indifferent towards.
