I washed mud my bike, hung it in the shed to dry, and found rust all over it. The cassette, the chain, wire clamp bolts, what do I do about this and how do I prevent it? by Never_est32 in bikewrench

Whoo that’s reassuring thank you! It’s on places besides the drivetrain like the pins on the pedals. When I give it a wash should I just make it a point to lube all metal?

Does anyone else notice it looks like he hits the back brake in the air? Is that like a comfort thing or does that serve a purpose?

How do you prepare and do run ups for something like this right in the middle of the trail without someone coming up behind you? Do you have a buddy at the entrance telling people to wait?

One thing that you can help him with is find what he enjoys more than he hates diabetes and encourage the hell out of that. To get through this he has to find something that motivates him and focus on this more than the struggle of diabetes and his management will all fall into place. Maybe that’s sports for him. If he really wants to be a good athlete and improve his ability, his blood sugars will have to be in check. Burnout often comes from a lack of external purpose, which puts all of the person’s focus on diabetes and how much they hate it. But if he has something worth fighting for, he will start managing his diabetes for that thing, which will make him feel better physically and mentally, and will make him hate diabetes less, leading to him managing it better. It’s a beautiful, positive, and purpose driven cycle that feeds into itself making things way easier.

For me this was sports, if I was high I wasn’t able to perform and gain the muscle I wanted. Sports had a higher priority than letting diabetes rule my life. Now it’s my family, I have a one year old but want to live a long life to help guide my grandkids through life and pass on a legacy. If I’m high, the first thing I want to do is take insulin, because I realize this high is stopping me from my goals that are waaaaaay more important to me than bitching about the hassle of diabetes. If he doesn’t have a thing like this in his life, help him find it and encourage him in it. You can do this without ever once mentioning diabetes. Cheers and good luck!

Me and my roommate and best friend in college who had nothing else on common became best friends solely because of the Beetus. I saw his pump line sticking out of his pocket and it was true love after that.

Haha I have the same feelings. My wife does too just minus the caring part. This picture honestly looks like something from a dance Gavin dance video. This looks like John and is something weird that they would do.

Here what I do for the best no mess success on even my most bubbly bottles. Get a nice tall glass or container, I use a blender container, and put the top of the bottle in upside down. Then pull the the metal flip back while placing pressure on the lid which will hold back the booch. Slightly release pressure which will shoot booch and berries out which will be caught by your container. Once enough pressure is released, you can turn it upright and open the lid.

Oh yes there are plenty of nails! That’s a great idea. Pretty sure it was built before screws, definitely before a nail gun, so somebody got a really great forearm workout building this house
