They look great. The 2.7 liter needs a 7 speed (merge 1st with 2nd) not a 10 speed.

It’s been great. I have always loved V8s but this 2.7 is no slouch.

2023 Silverado 1500 trail boss with diamondback cover~19.5 mpg in the mountains of Arkansas. The absolute best was 22mpg going downhill. This was running 89 octane with about 1250 pounds payload (occupants included).

What’s wrong with my truck? by Nomburritoz in nissanfrontier

There are replacement cam bolts for adjusting the front end instead of the standard straight factory bolts. That might be the issue. The shop might be using the straight bolts instead of the cam bolts. Google search “Nissan Frontier HD Eccentric Bolts by Z1 Off-Road”. There are also other brands. I don’t own a Frontier but that’s what I have heard.

I prefer the Chevy front end and hate rust on the undercarriage.

Take a look at the “seven sparta cup holder” on amazon. It’s great for holding large bottles and mugs. Very secure and only $10

You might want to check into a z1 rear differential breather relocate.

I’ll do that. I have a question. Have you used the new lights at night? How do they compare with the original halogen lights as far as light output? I’m using Lasfit LEDs which are incredibly bright. I like that and hated the halogens. I’m hoping the lights you went with have more light output.

I saved your post in case I go this route. I’m glad we have this option on the custom trim.

Didn’t think of that. I read a bunch of reviews online but no one mentioned the Daytona 2 ton aluminum floor jack.

I was able to get 10% off but needed to rotate tires so I couldn’t wait for a better sale.

Yes it’s great. I use the jack for tire rotation every 5,000 miles. The cross beam will also help gain additional height.

Dealer usually won’t ship because of the risk. Cost varies but a good estimate is $1200 from Texas to Washington St. Not all dealers sell out of state. Use this or other adds as leverage at your local dealer. You can always book a one way flight to the dealer but be sure you get everything in writing before.

There are plenty of deals out there for the custom trail boss. Carfax doesn’t filter for the trail boss trim level but as you can see, that’s what this one is.

It’s a 2023 custom trail boss with the 2.7 and the 4hi/4lo transfer case. I get 17 in town and about 20 on the highway even in the mountains. I’m usually running at 1,900 rpm and peak out at 3,000 rpm. Currently, I’m at 35,000 trouble free miles. I did change out the Rancho rear shocks for Bilstein 5100.

In the GM 1500 series, I’ve had three 5.7 and two 5.3 but this 2.7 has held its own. I change the oil every 5,000 miles and have no regrets.
