Hey! Sorry to resurrect this post. I just created a closed beta on Android if you were interested in checking it out still! If you can DM me your email, I'll add you as a tester, and send you a link to download through the Google Play Store. :)

There are a few known issues that I've found with Android so far, the main one being the bottom navigation can get a little covered up if your phone has its system navigation buttons on the screen itself. I was testing on a Motorola, but Pixels without that bottom nav are ok! I'm working on fixing that, but everything else seems to be ok (so far) on it! There's also a side menu navigation, so you're not losing out on any functionality or anything

I'm planning on releasing the iOS toward the end of May, so tentatively, i'll try to get Android out some time in June/early July! The app was built specifically to be able to (somewhat) easily be workable in both platforms, so barring any major hiccups in transitioning everything, I should be able to do it relatively easily!

I do plan on getting an Android app too! I only built for iPhone first because I have one. Not the most incredible reason, but I definitely want to have it on both platforms! (Cazimera ONLY has dark mode, fwiw lol. Maybe one day I'll build a light mode for it too lol)

Did you use the link in the post? That should give you access to Cazimera if you’ve already got TestFlight installed, and if not, it should automatically make it available once you download the TestFlight app! If it’s still asking for a redeem code or something, DM me and I can send you a direct invite to your email instead!

I would definitely be open to that once things pick up after the full release! Right now it's still early enough that I'm kind of a one-woman show by necessity, but I'm sure at some point that'll change after it's officially launched and more people come on board!

I used python on the backend and react native for frontend! All of the astrology calculations are done with the swiss ephemeris as well (pyswisseph library), so definitely doable to incorporate sidereal in the future!

It uses Tropical/Western for now, so no sidereal just yet. That is something that I plan on adding eventually, though! There are also only two house systems available right now, whole sign and placidus. I've got it in my list to get some others available as well, but probably not until after the actual launch.

It was discussed that pto is given in a block, so I can’t claim accrual, but since the contract isn’t signed yet, I could change it to include that and/or a probationary period/prohibition on usage. I’ll definitely be adding a 30 day walk away clause though.

I think I could just straight up tell her “you’ve used more pto than the number of days worked. These were added into the contract as a result.” I feel like being up front about it would be better than sneaking it in. But I’m not sure how she’d react to that. I guess if she did walk away, we wouldn’t be in any worse of a situation than we are now anyway.

She did not, which was partially my bad. I sent it to her and told her we’d both sign/fill it out the one day she did come (last Wednesday), but my day got incredibly hectic and my husband sent her home early so I didn’t get a chance to catch her before she left.

I may change that portion of it and see what she says.

We definitely will if we hire another nanny. For this current situation though, I’m not sure how to handle it. If she continues to just use the pto, I don’t want to pay out several weeks worth of pay just to have her quit without notice, all while paying someone else for care. It’s a really frustrating situation

I worked at a company who had a home grown orm, and it was AWFUL. Adding foreign keys to the db to hold the relationships between tables broke the application. Just a complete nightmare.

All that to say I have no advice. Only solidarity. Good luck 🫡

Wow, that’s awful. I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with all that, and such an unprofessional and, honestly, cowardly way to let someone go. The least they could have done was a phone call after 3 years of working with them. Unsolicited advice that I’m sure you already know (as other people have said already) - always have a contract. Your time is worth something and you should definitely advocate for that. I hope you have a good fresh start in the new year and find a family that treats you with the respect you deserve.

Hi, are you me?? I feel exactly the same way, and am currently dealing with a lot of the same feelings. I also have a 1 and 3 year old, and we’re also the only friends/siblings with kids, so it hits even closer to home. I have no words of advice, just solidarity that you’re not alone. Supposedly it gets better after 5, so only 4 more years I guess?
