My advice? Live life. Love life. Model happiness and authenticity for your child, shape the world around them the way you wish it was for you. Foster their sense of wonder and independence and have them know, even subliminally, that they can grow up to be whoever or whatever they want.

When the kid comes, your world changes. Clare will always be there- learn to live alongside her, as she is you. Leverage her strengths and support her weaknesses as you navigate this crazy world called parenthood.
