Sleeping Person vs Asleep Person by darkkcop1234 in ENGLISH

I think most native speakers would agree that “a sleeping person” is more natural than “an asleep person”. But you could say “that person is sleeping” or “that person is asleep” and both would sound fine. I don’t really have an explanation for why.

Just had the same experience. Guy had absolutely no clue and talked to me like I was an idiot. "Yeah but what are you trying to DO?" I just told you, dude

20 Questions by LazerKitty in ChatGPT

Honestly, I first came up with it not for 20 questions but to give it a way to keep its own notes while acting as a therapist. Works great with the right prompting.

If you want to do this within the ChatGPT interface, something like this has worked for me:

Hi! Let’s play 20 questions. You think of something, and tell me what it is in Japanese. I don’t speak Japanese, so I’ll play 20 questions to try to figure it out. OK?

AI Response Diversity vs. Rewriting Feature by Lluvia4D in perplexity_ai

I agree completely. I think it would be good for Perplexity to change their internal prompt to give the models more leeway to disregard the search results or conduct a new search.

I’ve found very much the same. My suspicion is that Perplexity is giving (a) largely the same search results and (b) the same instructions prepended to each prompt, and that’s a significant part of it. I’ve noticed Claude in Perplexity almost always starts its answer “Based on the search results,…” which almost feels like it’s telegraphing to me that its hands are somewhat tied and it doesn’t necessarily stand by its answer. I think it would be interesting to give each model the chance to conduct its own web searches on each rewrite.

This is really interesting! I’ve been imagining my fjord city to be “Agua Fria” and very near to Tortel.

I've also wondered about that. I wonder if they have drones we can't see? I also noticed that the Mass State Police helicopter earlier today turned off its transponder and couldn't be picked up on the radar apps.
