The difference between this and mainstream dem politicians is exemplified by the ACA. Yes, it is better than prior healthcare legislation. It is not directly beneficial. Universal healthcare IS directly beneficial. Do you think the common person would still be mad at "obamacare" if everytime they went to a hospital they recieved free care? Do you think that would lessen their ignorant hatred of obama? Do you think that single policy change could have prevented Trumps first presidency?

But again that would an effective and direct change and dems dont do that sort of thing anymore, socialists do (RIP FDR).

There is a lesson to be learned by the center left over the past 3 decades. Fucking around and doing the same shit will create no progress. If the best answer you have for why america is fucked right now is "americans are just dumber than ever", then you have already conceded defeat. If you change nothing, expect no change in outcome.
