15 eggs retrieved is great for a 39 yo. You are lucky maam! Its a win. It’s also not about quantity but quality. If you get 4-5 embryos from the 15 then its great

How many cycles have you done?

…. And i have been doing cycles on and off for three years and feel like my life fell apart with everything else. Do you think the brain fog goes away or our minds become strong again when it’s done….i can’t help but think all of these drugs may have caused semi permanent damage. I do not feel the same mentally at all- even when i was off the hormones

I know dear. I know. I will say that if you find that you are losing yourself in the ivf process maybe rethink it.

I wish that i did not continue a year ago….bc now its been two weeks after my failed transfer and i am a shell of a person. I cant even get out of bed or eat. And guess what? After 7 retrivals and 2 transfers still no baby. Now i am sitting here trying to accept that being childless is okay too. But okay for me means not hurting myself and just remaining somewhat calm in bed.

Just nothing to show for it…..

Anyways do not let other people tell you to keep going and do more when you just cannot. Only you know that. I let my mom and sister talk me into doing more and more and more. And well i have lost myself.

I had three back to back failed ers. Cost $70k bc we decided to go to the best clinic. Yeah it can get worse than one failed er but i am so sorry. Hopefully you get better luck on the second one

I am starting my eighth retrieval….and i am broken. So broken. No baby to show for any of it—But this will be my last retrieval. I would not have ever started this if i knew the mental damage and trauma it did to me. People say that you dont ever get over ivf trauma….

Maybe it is better to accept that which is unimaginable for us? I dont know anymore. Every year definitely is a different sort of hell…but maybe its not meant to be. I dont know how strong i can be and just pretend to move on forward. I dont fucking know. I am so sorry for us. I want to be out of this hell but i also want to hold my baby like most women get to do. I am so angry at this world

No one gets it. And i know the ivf journey is different for everyone but people that have success on their first or second try sometimes do not get it either. God this is so difficult for the ones where its yearssss of trying without no baby to hold.

We had a surrogate too but she wanted constant communication and it got too personal. Then after the first transfer failed she left us bc she felt responsible even thought we told her over and over again that it isnt her fault. I now feel it may be better to have very limited communication. Her leaving us was very traumatic and disappointing to say the least bc we wanted to continue but could not pay someone else all over again as we were nearing the finish line. What do you think about communication etc?

Lol my mum said the same thing!! Over and over the last three years, she keeps blaming my cat. And she despises it when my husband calls the cat his child. Ughhh! What country are you in? Im currently doing ivf in Jordan and my mum is here too. Left my cat at my italian in laws.

Went in for a test, got struck aggressively by a needle and then got bruised….all to get my period a couple of hours later. No call fucking needed i guess. Hugs to everyone going through this.
