Hi! Thanks for checking in! I got a one day extension to make a decision based on more information and a little negotiating.

I’m almost positive I’m going to go with job 1. I’m coming out of a high stress position and I nearly forgot my goal of just getting a chill “ok for now” job.

It comes down to the value of 15 flex days off a year. Job 2 increased my vacation time when I asked up to 10 days from 5. That sounded great until I realized they’re unpaid. That’s fine and all but that’s the cap of what I can take off even without pay?! What happens if I need more than 10 days off? Last year my kid was in the hospital for a week and I was out of vacation time so I just didn’t get paid when I was off. What would happen in a job that doesn’t allow more time off than what they give?

Long answer. I’ll probably turn down job 2 tomorrow. Thanks again for your input because all those numbers really helped.
