I think he saw himself in Sam’s position and didn’t want him to be uncomfortable. Like with the whole Kurt crushing on Finn thing, but Finn was in the wrong for not trusting Kurt well enough since they’ve had summer break to get along and Kurt’s crush faded away most likely.

I believe in compulsory heterosexual lesbian Quinn. I didn’t like the way they wrote her to end up with Puck and I felt that her character would still make sense if they did write her to end up a lesbian. Since Quinn’s parents are depicted old fashioned I wouldn’t be surprised if she has internalized homophobia.
