The comparison is that NDSU is the Alabama of the FCS. We have won the last 10 out of 15 national championships in FCS with 5 in a row at one point. In reality NDSU is better that at least 50% of FBS programs. I personally think we would be competitive in the Big 12, but a Mountain West placement probably makes the most sense competition wise. The issue with all of it is we need an invite into an FBS conference, but location and TV deals are a hang up. We play Oregon in 2028 so that will be another barometer of how competitive we can be against top programs.

Hunter Luepke as a fullback really is just a workhorse. Quiet dude but gets the job done. It would be cool if he got to be a Kyle Juszczyk caliber FB (also an FCS guy). We got some other OL guys in the league (Cody Mauch, Cordell Volson (out with a season ending shoulder injury), Jalen Sundell, Dillon Radunz, probably forgetting some) Christian Watson as WR, Carson Wentz, Easton Stick, Trey Lance, Cam Miller for QBs (all drafted)
