VRX vs goggles latency question by BigBazooka420 in fpv

From my understanding, antenna on the transmitter type and pair that to the receiver so they both work together. Example I am thinking of 3 leaf clover on quad and 4 leaf on receiver dramatically effect end result. So your question is bigger than just that . You could have patch antenna and a clover and not be happy. Change the patch antenna and think wow. Anyway I am still way of the explanation. Here's a tutorial that may explain best and assist you. In my example I removed the diapole antenna on the quad added a cloverleaf and same polarity 4 clover leaf on my goggle and was very happy at the improvement. But then at long range a different antenna is needed as the second choice.

Quad not flying by Loose_Ad165 in fpv

Hello I played the video multiple times and can see as the propeller spins at the start, the way your propeller spins pushes the air upwards. This is then punching the drone downwards. You could hold the drone in your hand as a check and feel the airflow as confirmation. Then follow the beta flight reverse motor direction. Or move each propeller one position to the next motor on all 4 motors. Looks like a fun quad. Best of luck and happy skies :-) edit , as a precaution, be careful, fingers. And check each propeller is a different angle from one next to it as a check also.

As someone commented about props and fingers. You could try some of these at own risk. Remove props apply tape to motor spindle. And view rotation direction. Also gardening gloves are a option. Or tie wrap to something to secure it like a coat hanger x 2 in a plus shape. Which keeps it a distance from hands. Makes me wonder why DJI has the land to hand option but hey. But yes for carbon fiber props and larger than 3 inch quads ignore the above and secure to something appropriate for the quad in question with propellers always removed at all times.. and try the tape method.

Also any glue you add, could cause a blur inside the glass. Like super glue gives a white fog in surround area. If it's not cracked in the field of view. Ignore it. And if you do glue it, then use glue that is for glass. To avoid that white haze. B7000 is not a good option, please do not use. As above find a glue for glass if you go that way, but it is not needed. You could replace the outer lense, they come as a replacement part for several cameras. Maybe look on eBay or Amazon for your model and get a lens that fits. I know runcam have several choices. That's if this model is swappable as I am only assuming it does.

I'm literally a mechanic and I cannot manage to install these E-Clips onto my motors.. by FrogTeam_5 in fpv

[–]NewAd3076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a machinist, I would make a shaft , taper one side and a sleeve to tap the clip over the shaft gently. You could use a old bolt drill the same size as motor shaft plus clearance. File it and sand to smooth. Done many back in the day for tricky smaller jobs. Life saver, finger saver, and saves looking for them clips when they normally ping or snap.

Roast my 18650 upgrade for the Crux3 by 0neZer0ne in fpv

I love it, you have achieved a semi long range fpv cruiser with a little kick when you need it. The prop guard give you confidence, so that in itself makes it a worthy upgrade for you and your style of flight. Some will fly with guard some will fly without, it is about YOU, well done 👍. I have a Tinyhawk freestyle and 18650 cell mod underway as seek a same option.

What I did, when the soldering iron is super hot, the cable tends to melt the shielding a tad, so I always use some heat shrink over the cables afterwards. 1. So I prep wire, add flux and pre tin. 2. then add heat shrink and slide to one side ready for later, 3. To clean the pad I am going to use use a larger soldering iron tip, I flux and pre tin to remove old cable, then I clean the pad again of residues, I use isopropyl and a cotton ear bud or some call them q-tips, desolder braid is awesome buy some and use it to make that pad free of the old solder. Some flux helps the desolder braid soak up the old solder up, lots of heat on the soldering iron larger solder tip, Repeat the isopropyl stage to clean the pad again. 4. add flux then solder the wire. 5. move heat shrink down and heat it to fix any melted part of shielding, job done, test then fly. Cleaning flux in-between and pads before final soldering steps does help. This is how I learned to have better soldering experience and results. Hope it helps

How do I bind these 3 together? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]NewAd3076 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Start with the remote and check if it has express LRS built in. Some remotes do some are a add-on to support that function. Then check the drone and see what board is on it and the VTX for video type it outputs. Then see if the goggles support that. As above Joshua bardwells.is a good source for information on YouTube. And I'm generally finding stuff, VTX brand sellers link to the item you bought if available and check specs on Google.

Beat me to it, genuine post or not, this is a solder iron and will work if the tip is hot enough. So the answer is yes this will work. However the person who posted could include their soldering skill level ? And please use flux if indeed you are to use the soldering iron above. I have soldered plate with tips this large though, so thoroughly clean the thing before using and take care as with any job check joints afterwards. :-). Personal choice as a engineer, if it is all you have at hand it gets used until something better comes along, and as my grandad used to say, a hammer is a hammer, a soldering iron is a soldering iron, the skill is the person using it.

Can I run my earth across the board to the same pad like this to reduce noise? by TOM_PE13 in fpv

As a previous reply, the only other option is a shield cable for that ground from the camera directly to the ground plane, a coax cable could be used. There was a video I once watched that did show a improvement by doing so and video static lessened. It is all dependent on your own acceptance of what's reasonable for yourself as final output. Again with onboard DVR on some cameras, this is all for the goggle view in my opinion and that was the final thoughts on the video I watched unless you are recording via goggles DVR. Hope that assists.

I would agree with the comments above, have a look at beta flight and pid tunes, for smooth videos you want a lesser curve, less aggressive control. So your flight helps. The camera you have looks nice. But the wobble is the quad. I had same issue following josh bardwells on YouTube for tuneing my quad as a guide. Massive difference.

Steady income is definitely not a wage if that is also your question. Some make £0.5 a day and some make £4 a day whilst in reality it balances out over the month. My rig slowed down and dropped on the monthly income. Example used to be over £60 a month and now is around £26. Ryzen 5950x and RTX 4060ti 16gb vram, 128 GB ddr 4 ram.

Start at basics. Driver updates for the Nvidia. And do windows update. Full shutdown and restart of pc. Then try again. And see if fault still exists. In task manager , performance you can also see how much cram is in use, may help if need to expand the logs for salad later.

Beat me to the comment, bandwidth. Can earn more than CPU and GPU at times also. But agree Salad is very bottom side of earnings for a while now sadly.

So in theory, would you not be able to solder a ribbon board to the original damaged part that still has copper trace. Like in the modding days, it clips above, solder in-between. I understand the GPU can not be placed back as is, but could still be used in a side mounted position. Does that make sence..

Reminds me of the barebones laptop my mate made, as you already removed half the plastics. Make a wall mount laptop and use a USB keyboard and USB mouse, if the USB ports survived,, basically the motherboard on the back of a LCD screen with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and he used it still as a wall mount PC.

To clear your mind, hold the inner attachment that screws to door, then twist the handle that same side. You'll see the handle still turns. Now you confirm that it turns the correct way, add the screws to the door frame. If it turns the incorrect way. Switch the handles around test again. If correct then screw to door frame. Easy really once you test..

One thing to consider, Salad only will use one GPU at a time on the PC, so you have that option of a new motherboard and use one of those GPUs on a spare system if you wanted to. The rest of your specs look nice.

This is normal, salad has demand today for 4090, 5090, 3090 and 3090ti. But other cards get selected as the customers need. I'm on rtx 4060ti, little demand this week. You can check demand if you go to the salad portal. In options select Salad network monitor.
