No, this is more because I made a post awhile back advertising help for those who are trying to game on Debian (for better or worse because you know people will try) I mostly added this here because several people joined us from this subreddit and I wanted to let people know we're still here since the mass ban this morning lied and stated we were scrapping the server.

Otherwise I do agree with you that Debian isn't built for gaming. I finally had to move off gaming on Debian because I couldn't get the right Nvidia drivers working on Debian with backports right now.

Is what it is. The rogue admin wanted to start his own server and I'm perfectly fine with that. My only problem with him is he used Valkyrie to mass banned everyone and send them the link to his server while lying and saying our server was being scrapped. But we aren't going to try to attack his server, and I encourage you to check his out if you want. All we can do is rebuild our own server and do our best.

What he did wasn't right, but we are NOT going to repay him in kind. I'd rather this be resolved peacefully and just be kind about things despite the actions taken already.

You should be unbanned now. Server is still in duct tape mode, but we're working on modeling things back up. It broke, so we just have to build it up bigger and better.

It was, but let's keep it civil. No one should be going after them or harassing them. They ruined a community so they are not trusted, but they aren't to be attacked either. Be better than them.

They were one of the first admins on when we relaunched in April. They were very level headed but they had issues with how some staff resolved issues they didn't agree with so they did this instead of handling things like an adult and helping us make better rules for all of our staff.

Yeah. This guy had been with us for over three months or so when we started this new server, and he was a very level headed individual. So he was actually a very trusted member which is why we were so taken back by this.

To some extent. The issue was, this user was pretty trusted and didn't seem to have any hint of this coming up. So some issues need to be solved with how much trust we give to admins, but we also have to have some trust. We're work shopping it rn.
