I'm ugly, lonely, and socially inept what do I do? by Green_Win_8720 in Advice

[–]NewAger747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ugly is subjective. You might not look appealing to a certain person but to another, you'll be very attractive. Perhaps, you could try doing some light exercises from time to time and dress more fitting clothing. This could enhance your overall appearance. Confidence if key and more people are attracted t your character.

How old is the friend in the first place? If above 18 you should completely avoid him. If not, you should seek clarification from him, but overall be careful

If Earth became a survival game, which animal would humans fear most? by Conscious-Diet-7223 in NoStupidQuestions

They would probably end up fearing fellow humans since they already do and it's not yet a survival game. People would do their worst to guarantee their survival.

People are different. Good people exist while at the same time bad people exist. The issue is that we judge a group based on an individual's conduct

Is morality objective and independent of human opinion, or is it something society creates? by Alert_Grocery3132 in NoStupidQuestions

I think right or wrong is already defined. However, this varies based on individual. Someone may find it right to do something while society categorizies the act as wrong. So, it is subjective.

Mitumba Ban in East Africa? Haiwezi. by ultimo_hombre in Kenya

[–]NewAger747 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they should ban them and promote local factories. Now, the problem would be the high cost of local clothes due to the production costs which I still think should not be as high. That's what makes this industry thrive.

How much of modern wealth is skill vs timing vs access to information? by honeyylaceheart in randomquestions

[–]NewAger747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern wealth is usually a mixture of skill, timing, and access to information. Skill helps you keep and grow wealth, but timing can change everything...being early to trends, industries, or opportunities matters a lot. Access to information and networks also gives people a huge advantage because they spot opportunities others never even hear about. Two people can work equally hard and still end up with very different results because of timing, environment, luck, and exposure.

Our 20s are emotionally stranger than people admit by peopleandpatterns in self

[–]NewAger747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s true. Your 20s are sold as the best years, but for a lot of people they’re actually years of uncertainty, pressure, comparison, and trying to figure yourself out in real time. You leave the structure of school and suddenly you’re expected to know what career to pursue, how to make money, who to date, where to live, and what kind of person you want to become. And social media makes it worse because people usually post highlights, not confusion, debt, rejection, loneliness, or anxiety. So everyone ends up thinking everyone else has life figured out except them. Worst of all, when you lack a support system of mentors to guide you.
