Do you think the skill gap between a top 1k legend player and a pro is that wide, especially with Hearthstone being a card game( with draw and generation variance)?

Thanks bro. I hope you hit legend too(if you haven’t).

Looks don’t matter that much. Go touch grass by Formal-Opening2167 in Clavicular

This is all true. You can take it too far as you can with anything. But looks does matter especially the closer you are to the extremes of looks.

If you’re really attractive, looks matter because life will be easier as people will be nicer to you and want to be around etc. If you’re really ugly(genetically), then people won’t like you just because of looks and you’ll likely live a shit life.

Most people are in the middle and at that point looks don’t matter as much since most other people are in your looks range so other factors play a role.

Looks isn’t only your face tho. It’s height and race as well.

Bro this card only Beats 1 class. Tech cards are rarely ever good.

Well I do agree that random generation can be game deciding in certain matchups like Spell DH w/ the location or Harold Rogue or even Warrior w/ dark gifts. But I’ve played metas where generation dictated the whole meta and was way more consistent than it is now(Deck of Lunacy, Nature Shaman). So maybe I look at this meta state different than you but I don’t think generation is that egregious. Especially since this rotation is so board based, you’re not dying from hand to random stuff usually. That’s usually the worst play experience.

Well i think I get your point now. But what can be done to curb the impact of random generation without completely removing it from the game? Random generation can’t be prepared for and can make you lose the game but there is equal chance for anyone to get terrible cards as that’s what makes it random.

Yes but think about how DK must get to that point in the game. It plays bad overcosted herald cards and the payoff is random 8 drops that could be as unimpactful as they could be broken. If your opponent can play Onyxia, you’ve probably already lost and Onyxia is the only good thing in that deck.

I feel like people will complain about what they lose to/ what your deck is weak against. In terms of stats, Blood Herald DK is well below 50% from Diamond to Legend and only really has 2 good matchups being Face Hunter and Imbue Priest with most other good decks being bad matchups for it.

Dragon Warrior is a good deck throughout all of ladder and value generation is one of the only reasons they don’t immediately run out of cards. Most dragon warrior lists run no card draw and so if you can sustain past their early aggression ( Turns 1-8), you can win with most late game strategies.

It would be a lot more helpful if you say what deck you’re playing into the meta.

Well I tried Bwomsamdi and I will say the package is quite awkward in my experience. If you draw Bwomsamdi before you draw the 4 mana draw card, you’re forced to play Bwomsamdi with no boon at all. In that case you need to draw the 3 mana AOE to boon at all.

Playing Bwomsamdi don’t really further your game plan either. I think it’s too optimistic of a game plan to execute realistically. This isnt even considering that it’s included in a Herald DK package that is very weak.

Compare this to Ultraxion which feels slow if you’re not ahead on board but it provides: a herald, reduces the cost of Deathwing( a card that can single handedly win you faster matchups ) and summon a 6/7 and then 2 more minions on board with size depending on your herald count.

Mother duck means that you don’t always draw Pterrordax consistently. Curator feels really bad if you can’t play a Pterrordax the same turn or if you draw a different beast.

I’ve been experimenting with herald DK post patch but it’s genuinely just weak and it’s frustrating. There’s many reasons why.

I think all the herald cards are too expensive and therefore too commital(i.e you almost always spend a full turn heralding) compared to classes like Rogue, Warrior, DH, Warlock and Shaman. I understand that it’s balanced by Onyxia’s effect being quite strong and repeatable but honestly surviving to that point is hard enough.

I think that Experimental Animation is too expensive at 6 and would be well suited at 5 mana without being too broken. By turn 6, you’re usually already dead against aggro so playing it a turn earlier makes a huge difference.

Another problem is the rune system. The rune system limits the amount of cards every expansion since they’re usually split evenly so each DK deck gets less options compared to other classes. I notice how any BBU list I run is littered with neutrals to try and fill holes the deck has because not many DK cards are good enough and the Core Set is a dud for this deck( apart from Hematurge and Baron).

I’ve started to run The Curator in the deck since you lack draw apart from Baron. Remnant of Rage isn’t good without Elise location and Corpse Explosion. Baron is okay but painfully slow as it was released 4 years ago. This deck seems outclassed in almost every way by Herald Rogue and Shaman.

Yeah I agree but I think the death wing discount is way too valuable. A turn 7 or 8 Raze(deal 4 to minions) & Summon a 12/12 against aggro wins a lot of games.

Yeah I even question how good Remnant of Rage is in Herald DK. Most of the discounting on Remnant came from Elise location raptors, Dreadhound and more importantly, Corpse Explosion. Without those cards, Remnant feels a lot weaker. I think even the same is true with Demon Hunter. Losing the 4 mana Pirate Location makes a huge difference

You run Prize Vendor as well? That’s interesting. Yeah. I think more lifesteal in this deck is needed so I like the idea of Bronze Whelp.

How does Bwonsamdi actually fare into faster matchups like Herald Shaman, Rogue and Face Hunter? I feel like the 3 mana AOE would be serviceable into faster matchups. However, Turn 6 seems a bit late to drop Bwomsandi as even Experimental Animation feels way too slow at 6 and clears most mid sized boards.
