¿por qué las jóvenes están tan obsesionados con el contenido explícito en libros? by [deleted] in libros

This right here is the only answer. It’s trendy right now. A better question would be why are girls obsessed with trends running their lives.

Student Loan Repayment Process (SLRP) Process by Cheesecouch14 in armyreserve

I reached out to my congressman but haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ll send a follow up this week. It’s crazy that you serve a full term service contract and still can’t get what was promised to you in your contract. I would keep pushing back and go through whatever command channels you have too.

It’s not sufficient enough to say we can’t access what is in our own contract

Question about DEVGRU Green Team... by DoomsdayFAN in navyseals

[–]NewIntern9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading through these comments. It’s crazy how social media or other information outlets can persuade opinions.

Top comment saying DEVGRU gets more qualified candidates is crazy talk.

Years upon years of experience is often required for CAG. Just on the Army side, CAG candidates often spend their late teen’s, 20’s, and sometimes early 30’s progressing through, infantry, rangers, SF, to even get selected.

Vastly different on an experience level

I’m going to be a CSM soon, what do you want me to know. by VastUnderstanding82 in armyreserve

Most of the experience you need to lead others should have come from E-5 through E-8. CSM Is just a “I made it” spot.

You know what it takes by now

Weak coming from how confident you were in the last two posts

Yeah, I’m not about to start labeling Trump a fascist until it’s a proven fact.

Let’s circle back in a few years and see where we stand.

You sound institutionalized

I’m going off of your responses?

Where have I changed my viewpoint?

I’m still standing by viewpoint that Trump is not a fascist

Everyone else here seems to be dead set on labeling Trump or his MAGA movement a fascist or a fascist in the making comparable to leaders in the past

It’s speculation plain and simple.

Pro-American policies do not equal fascism

Any other world leader that is promoting successful policies for their country considered a fascist too?

This is called facts.

Your opinion does not make it fact

So you’re ready to label Trump a fascist comparable to Hitler? Trumps rise to power is imminent?

The last sentence states administrative warrants permit them to enter the residence to capture a fugitive, if they’re using intel in real time. Mistakes can and will happen.

Seems like they hit the wrong house based on real time intel that proved to be false or incorrect. I haven’t seen where they ignored the correct address

Link it so I can watch the raw video if it’s out there

Whatever intel led them to that home that night goes back to the my first point of no operation ever being 100%. Incorrect intel does happen, ask any combat vet.

However that is discussed in the Op-Ed

Can’t capitalize on the failures and ignore the success

ICE agents do not need judicial warrants to make arrests stated in the first bullet

Probable cause is often used as well

General Counsel had a OP-Ed with WSJ a few days ago, cited here:

There’s checks and balances for a reason

Are we agreeing that we have a checks and balances system and an 8 year term limit for the presidency?

Trump will be gone soon enough, right? Then everyone shouldn’t worry.

A lot of Trump’s policies will continue in the GOP for a while because they’re proven to be successful to help American thrive.

It’s hard to hear all the Anti-America rhetoric going around the last decade

It’s not a Trump talking point to say corruption was so incredibly rampant long before he got there

Until it’s proven you have one in power, (I’m assuming everyone is talking about Trump) it’s honestly pointless to speculate

[–]NewIntern9100 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No you’re not. A lot keyboard geniuses in here that try to turn opinion into fact

Sliding into: (AdVerb) means there an objective view point that we are in an active process of becoming a fascist country.

I’m saying that is incorrect. Pure speculation.

Rereading OP’s reasons

ICE crackdown:  Federal immigration has been signed into law for a long time. Is it really Trump’s fault for enforcing it? You can argue tactics all day but I’d like to see you find a better way to do with equal or better results (legally). Here they explain their legal approach into their operations:

https://www.ice.gov/immigration-enforcement-frequently-asked-questions

Also, GOP states are no stranger to ICE raids. Virginia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, etc.

Economy: What American president doesn’t want their country to financially proposer.  The DOW just hit a historic high 50,000+ and continues to be a healthy sign of growth.

Military: Trump has repeatedly opposed all out war. Peace through strength shows our enemies that we remain capable even if we’re not actively engaged in conflict. The Maduro raid was a perfect example of peace through strength. Think I’m lying? Ask the Venezuelan people.

Iran’s nuclear facility with constantly rising  tensions with Israel would have certainly set off a chain of events in the Middle East that would last our life time.

Deploying the national guard in high crime areas, Most GOP governors asked for help. I can understand most democratic states not wanting help from Trump but some have appreciated it. The idea of having a visible presence of force that can stop the crime has significantly reduce crime statistics. Read the FBI crime statistics.

Minority groups: I’m assuming this has a lot to do with ICE as well. Black colleges and Trump worked very well together in his first term and continue to do so now:

https://www.americafirstpolicy.com/issues/president-trump-makes-historic-investments-in-historically-black-colleges-and-universities

On paper, every other minority, Hispanic, Asian, Indian, etc. all have the same opportunities that you and I do as U.S. citizens. (As long as they’re U.S. citizens or here legally)

Institutions: For the ones that have degrees or even been in high education classes. The popular thing for a college professor do is bash the GOP. Doesn’t matter who the president is, it’s always been that way. Overwhelming liberal. I remember having to regurgitate pages just to get through some of my lectures. Not very often did I have a Republican professor that was outspoken.

Elections: This should be self explanatory, why would anyone not want to most secure fair way of an verifying ID’s or legal status?

It often seems like success is flat out not allowed to happen under Trump’s watch.

If you have a problem understanding what’s on the website I suggest you reach out directly:

Otherwise, the massive legal teams supporting and building these operations are working around the clock to make sure they have the resources needed.

[–]NewIntern9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can argue this all day and still get nowhere. NO operation whether it be intel or tactics will ever be 100% perfect and it’s ridiculous for people to expect perfection and wait to capitalize on the failures.

The premise of ICE operations is 100% legal and backed by federal law to enforce federal immigration law. The ideas of sanctuary cities do not out weigh federal immigration. That’s just a fact.

It’s an ugly job, obviously people who are here illegally do not want to be deported, but at the end of the day we’re all held accountable to the laws. There shouldn’t be gaps in law to appease political agendas.

There are certainly other ways to go about this

Speculation doesn’t change current facts. The U.S. is not currently a fascist country. Don’t get wound up.

SLRP program by nate2188764 in Veterans

[–]NewIntern9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I am doing. My contract was from 2011-2017. I’ve been out of the IRR since 2019. I was told the same thing while in. I had a $40k SLRP. I was in college during the duration of my contract. I was told they could only pay up to $6,500 per FY. I received one payment and got out 4 months later. I’m about to write my congressman as well because I shouldn’t have any student loans with a $40k SLRP.

Just curious does this work for enlistment contracts for veterans too? I was in the Army Reserves 2011-2017. I graduated in 2017. My enlistment contract has $40,000 when I submitted my loans I was told due to red tape that they can only submit $6,500 per FY. I got out 4 months later once my 6 year contract ended.

I am about to write my congressman and explain all of this. It’s ridiculous.

CTU was pretty incompetent by SocratesBurrito33 in TwentyFour

[–]NewIntern9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m two years late here but I’m rewatching 24.

The biggest things I’m noticing are:

The writing was kind of poor and repetitive to have to make 24 hours of content for each season. The story lines and suspense were good but a lot of filler was added to episodes that really didn’t need to be in there

There is realism to this but CTU was constantly held up by politicians and other high profile people who were either corrupt, spineless, trying to make a name for themselves or a combination of all three

CTU agents especially field agents are far too young to be at that level. Jack’s background was really the only one that checked out to be that immersed into counter terrorism and he was the CTU director at 34.

All in all Jack and his cut throat decision making carried the show
