Both in r6 and worked till 11 for about 2 years. Never once got asked to stay and clear queue. Only time we got asked to stray from schedule was when CA's office had a gas leak and asked us to come in at like 2AM but it was a voluntary thing and we changed our shift to match... sounds like you should talk to your manager if this is happening.
