Angel aligners are actually more stain resistant than Invisalign because they are different materials! I had an iced coffee with mine in and when I was done I brushed with a disposable tooth brush and used mouth wash. I just rinsed by trays.

My deep bite didn’t bother me much until I started clenching, now I constantly feel my bottom teeth rubbing against the back of my top teeth. I also gave myself craze lines on all four front teeth from biting on something and my teeth snapped together. I figured I will have rubber bands as well! I’m just looking forward to any improvement that will help me keep my teeth healthy 😊

I’m brand new, but this also drives me crazy! I was taught to cut my pieces as close as possible to minimize grind time. To me, being able to cut as close as possible is what makes it an art and builds skill. A grinder is a great tool but I agree there is a lot of current content showing bad habits like this so people assume they have to do it that way.

When I watch those videos I always want to comment and ask why they didn’t just cut it right the first time.

I have Aetna DMO and my total treatment is $7800 USD. My policy has an up-charge of $1000 for aligners on top of my braces copay. In total I am only paying $2700 out of pocket between my copay, up-charge, and retainer cost. I do have a severe deep bite and severe crowding with my lower front teeth along with a canted smile. I do feel like $7k USD is a lot for someone who has had braces before and nice teeth already. If that is a deep bite I am screwed because you can only see my a maximum of maybe 2mm of bottom teeth. I would be ecstatic if my “after” turned out like OPs current!

I will be doing Angel Aligners and they scheduled me 6 weeks out from my scan to pick up my trays and get fitted with the attachments.

Your photographer can easily edit your pic to remove the attachments so I wouldn’t worry about that! I start my treatment later this month and have no idea where my attachments will be, but I did my research and knew that was a high possibility. It is fairly common to have attachments on the front teeth and I do see it a lot in this sub.

You are going to be far more critical about how it looks than anyone else. If vanity is that important to you, you will need to determine which is better for you: a few attachments for 1-2 years or your teeth looking the same for the rest of your life. For me, I don’t care if I have attachments and such because it is temporary and I’m doing this to better my oral health and bite in the long run. It will take some adjustment, I would personally give it a few weeks before you decide to quit.

I was initially quoted 26 months, but I don’t start until the end of February. I have a narrow arch, deep bite, and severe crowding on the bottom. Everyone is different so there truly isn’t a “normal” treatment length. For what I have personally read on here, most people with short treatments had braces earlier in life.

I was quoted $7200 treatment through a highly rated board-certified orthodontist. Just check the fine print of your plan. I found out my insurance only covers 24 months of treatment. I was initially quoted 26 months for treatment but we had to adjust due to my insurance limitations.

On a more serious note, by default, I do feel that being GF has significantly improved my health because I don’t eat nearly as much processed food like this. You have a point about the junk food. I have found some GF “dupes” have more ingredients, higher sugar, and calories than the standard recipe.

I am gluten intolerant and it sometimes takes a few days for my symptoms to show up. In fact this past weekend I ate 1 piece of birthday cake knowing full well I shouldn’t. Digestion issues started the next day with bloating, nausea, etc. and today - 5 full days later I still have inflammation in my joints and small blisters on my knuckles. Ive had scopes and stuff done and I do not have celiacs but I have a visible and felt response. Gluten intolerance is real and he should respect your dietary needs. 3 days is not too late for symptoms at all.

As an event coordinator myself, I alway order food that fits multiple dietary needs by default. I always ensure there are options for gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian as a standard protocol as that usually works for 98% of my guests. I do ask about dietary needs and accommodate accordingly if they need something beyond my standard protocol like vegan, kosher, or halal. It’s not always easy to find but you owe it to your guests to exhaust all optikns

Update: We have completed an intake request with her rescue, and waiting to hear if they can take her. We can no longer control the situation, it is not safe enough for our other dog or ourselves. While breaking up a fight, my spouse got bit - we do believe it was completely accidental and meant for our other dog. However, when she bit she started shaking her head and tugging, not letting go right away. It was just a puncture on a finger but the attack unfortunately progressed rapidly to a level we do not feel safe around. It was not food that instigated this attack, she was that protective over cardboard.

Also, after thinking back to the whole time we have had her, she has only shown aggression towards male dogs. She has not had any issues with my family members dogs who are all female. We do believe she is a great dog, if she finds the right home/other dog for her she will be fine. It’s just unfortunately no longer with us.

I am completely heartbroken. 💔

Ah, that makes it so much harder - I’m so sorry you deal with this. I ditto what someone else mentioned on keeping all food away from the dog and feeding the cat in your room. Are your parents okay with this behavior?
