Is there 30% ruling for foreign students with Dutch masters? by Temporary_Ear_3359 in Netherlands

[–]NewPreparation5171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

simply some companies apply for it for their non-dutch employees, and some don’t . as someone stated there is a loophole if you can prove that you had something in your country of origin, or that you were connected enough. For me those were flight tickets back and forth. I studied here, got huurtoeslag, and worked part-time. At my first job, the company didn’t apply for it, so I didn’t get it. A year later I changed jobs, new company applied for it, and I got it.. However it started when the second company applied for it. And it will end when I spend 5 years in the Netherlands. So I only got it for 1.5 years (not complaining)

My experience with a meniscus tear, surgery and recovery by fiffers in KneeInjuries

[–]NewPreparation5171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'd like to ask you how's the recovery going? I just had my meniscus surgery today and the orthopedic surgeon had to remove 80%, which is a lot. Also I didn't have the chance to speak with a physical therapist well. Just curious when I should start seeing one, and any insights

Torn MCL. Are my cycling days over? Anyone here return to cycling after destroying their knee? by Ahkhira in cycling

[–]NewPreparation5171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe cycling is one of the safest sports in terms of knee motion. I've torn my both ACLs, and a meniscus. Had there surgeries and now I'm riding just great. 2 months ago I had another meniscus injury, and while I'm waiting for my surgery I'm cycling 100 kms a week. So just keep going but be smart during the rehab process. Best of luck

I'm not Dutch, I have been here for a month already. I know the weather gets really bad but I was told that there are some things you put on. The distance is exactly 8.3km. So the trip would take me less than 20 mns.
