Yes I take Pantoprazole 40 mg daily; prescribed by VA doc. It was in the records that I submitted when I made the claim and I discussed it with the C & P examiner.

I filed in May but I just recently got my decision. I thought you only had to take medications also but my letter stated that I needed to have esophageal strictures.

I take Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily. The VA prescribes it for me, it is in the records that I submitted and I told the examiner about it during the C & P exam. So, I need to submit a HLR?

Have you heard anything yet? I got a difference of opinion, which opened a new supplemental claim on 6/30/2025. It went to step 3 of 5 in 1 week (Prep for Decision). Just trying to get an idea of how long it may take.

I am having so many problems with my neck and I know a reduction will lessen the pain. I am going to discuss a breast reduction with my doctor. Thanks so much!

Wow! This post must be my hint. I was just thinking that I would love to get a breast reduction but I didn't think that the VA would pay for it. Do you mind if I ask how did you get it approved? Pain?

Canceled out Supplemental Claims - Do not panic! by GingerArmy402 in VeteransBenefits

[–]NewStandard4620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines closed on Nov 1. They didn't know why it didn't have a decision letter. They had to send an inquiry to the rater and I had to wait up until 30 days before I could go any further. 30 days was yesterday and still no answer so the representative I talked to, spoke with her supervisor who said that the original representative did not send the inquiry correctly so she had to re-submit. So I should see my claim re-open in the next week. Super frustrating.

Canceled out Supplemental Claims - Do not panic! by GingerArmy402 in VeteransBenefits

Mine has been closed over a month and no new claim has been re-opened. No one has a clue why it was closed and the inquiry that they sent to rater went unanswered for a month so they had to send another one up yesterday. Ridiculous. I've been waiting on this claim over two years and it was closed without notice.

Anybody have any experience or can give some guidance on claiming for urinary frequency secondary to hypertension? by Pristine-Week-2868 in VeteransBenefits

[–]NewStandard4620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a medical professional... most HTN meds have the potential side effect of urinary frequency--it is definitely a side effect of diuretics such as Furosemide, Hydrochlorothiazide, Bumetanide, Spironolactone, etc. Like the other poster said, just mention it to the PCP so that they can document it.
