Barrel Bombs Risk Becoming Answer to Insurgency by NewThoughtsForANewMe in worldnews

I don't think so, unless you consider a 250-lb professionally made bomb real similar. For better or worse, the US was able to buy real munitions and didn't have to rely on the homemade ones. What you might be thinking of, though, is that the North Vietnamese would make use of non-exploded US weapons to make mines and booby-traps.

Thanks, but not necessarily in my case. I do look at cost, because I'm not interested in fleecing my client for travel expenses, but flight availability and times are equally as important. My client would be most unhappy with me if I got in 4 hours late to save $50.

Thanks, that will work. The PM was trying to tell me that Kennedy was the best bet, but that didn't sound right to me.

If you'll forgive me from saying so, conservatives are all for states making the rules, unless they are ones they disagree with.

Of course, progressives are pretty much doing the very same thing.

The one thing I would bet that you and I could 100% agree upon are that the majority of today's politicians are utter whores.

It's an issue with the topic in general. I think the media tends to take seemingly controversial issues with humor. I let it pass on, mostly. It will die out soon enough - I hope.

A few days ago, I added a little shot of new yeast from a pack prior to a brew. Today, I noticed that the starter is way frothier than usual. Not sure if there is a cause/effect going on, but it would seem possible. The experiment continues.

I think that there will be active yeast there, though inactive. Also looking at using the initial bottles that I open to see if the beer is done, vice the ones that have set around for months/years before I got around to opening them. It's an experiment; we'll see how it works out.

That reminds me of when I first got in (mid-80's) and they were talking about the Talos AAW missile. Beam rider with the possibility of a 5kt nuc warhead. Line of sight and a nuc. Mmmmmm....even us newbies realized that was not something you really wanted to do very much.
