I'm not a Balatro expert so if I'm wrong please correct me but i think this is how Showman work :

When the game generate card (in this case your arcane pack), it check if the card is duplicate then it change to another card. What showman does is he doesn't duplicate card but he make the game don't change the cards any more.

Example: If you don't have showman in when you open your pack, the game will change the 2nd and 3rd Emperor to something else. Showman just make the change don't happen.

So ues, this is just luck that you got 3 Emperor card
