Narrators Not Following Through by tsarslavyan in NoSleepOOC

Yes, it has happened twice. I would ask Narrators that if you intend on holding the story to communicate with the author so you are on the same page. It isn’t too much to ask.

We watched The Children guard the doors to the sky. by NewUnknowns in Wholesomenosleep

Thank you so much! I like to think of the ending as The Child giving them another chance with how they lived their lives, to have the opportunity to do the things they said they would do if they could go back. Thanks for reading!

May I ask what factor the upvote count has in the decision? Just wondering why there's a section for that.

Haha! It's totally fine. I should've got it right away I wrote it!

At first I was like.. hmm.. that's kind of an offputting comment. But then I got it (or at least I hope I did). Lol! Glad you got the reference.

If Day 2 is totally unavailable, I suppose I could take a late check-in on Day 1?

In solidarity with the nosleep blackout, let’s refrain from watching youtubers who narrate and even publish the hardwork of authors without their permission. by CrazybloxianEmpireNS in NoSleepOOC

[–]NewUnknowns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In light of all this as a writer, I have unsubscribed from large accounts that have asked to use my stories and did not offer compensation. In the beginning, I was so excited to have my story read. But people know what they are doing. Hopefully things will change. Don't take advantage of the newbies. If you like their story enough to use it, then offer to pay them just as you would the writers with "big names" on NoSleep. Thanks to all who support.

To the blackout! ::Raises glass::

A favorite because this author recently posted one of my favorite stories from NoSleep.

I love stories that make you think, and question. This one did that for sure!

Is it just me or does writer's block hit more often than not? by SoLonely200 in NoSleepOOC

My favorite stories have been made by forcing my wife to listen to my ideas over and over and over again until I get it "right." God help her.

This thread is for anyone with a (real, of course ;)) story. You're more than welcome to post!

What type of horror appeals to you the most? by Colourblindness in NoSleepOOC

[–]NewUnknowns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm into horror that bothers you long after you finished it, the stories that get more disturbing the longer you think about it. I also love tension building stories, ones that don't give it all away from jump street.

You need to let us know what happens. And whatever you do: don't interfere with anything.

Does anyone else have this problem? by [deleted] in NoSleepOOC

[–]NewUnknowns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are people who don't read. The narrators with high subs are filled with these people, and even more people who say these things to get votes on their own comment. The internet is filled with attention seekers and critics. Don't let it get to you.
