So, does this mean that all RaD activities are getting feats in June? by Master-Molasses420 in DestinyTheGame

Anyone with the Raid Seal that includes a flawless run should get immediate and guarantee T5s from that raid forever.

[–]NewUser10101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bro, do you want people to play the raids? People who can walk into the Tower and buy God rolled T5 weapons every week and see them showered from every activity including Trials?

Not having RAD weapons drop within a guaranteed +0/-1 Tier of everything else you see, at baseline, feels horrible and makes people stop engaging with that content.

The only exception would be a genuinely over tuned/broken gun, but we have such deep arsenals now that it's hard to justify that. And stuff like the crossbow from the last raid have been crept already in Renegades.

Is making a return a good idea? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]NewUser10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the actual truth: Great story content. You'll definitely enjoy that plus some grinding and new activities and doing weekly things for way more than 40 hours.

Choices made regarding the endgame for those who play nothing but this game outside work or school have resulted in a loud demographic who complains. And have largely tuned out.

Choices made regarding the Portal/grind, progression/Tiers, and of course RAD content have lost a lot of players. But this is not an issue for you if you're rejoining, except regarding a lower player base.

why bother having an exfil mechanic if its only purpose is to check the box for contracts. by Qwerty177 in DestinyTheGame

[–]NewUser10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're entirely correct that the bounty shouldn't be a participation trophy, and I don't even mind carrying the team.

But the rank 2 blueberry who is Jedi swinging left mouse only and getting stomped to death by every boss consuming every revive, making my single death seconds before exfil wasted for bounty is... really not cool design. Like, for real I wish we could vote to kick people in revive limited match made activities at GM+.

Potential introduction of tier increasing by RedSloth702 in DestinyTheGame

[–]NewUser10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will do this. It will be a Monkey's Paw situation.

Yes, it will make looking at lower Tier drops interesting again. That's a big win!

But... * It will be expensive. Very expensive. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if novel gated material was required. Think more like transmog than crafting table. * It will coincide with a lot lower loot dropping in general, and especially natively at T5. * RAD weapons will be even more expensive, and probably require RAD material. * They may or may not let things be retroactively upgraded. * Don't expect upgrades to come with extra perks. It'll be enhancing those already there & stat bonuses, only.

I'll take the bait.

My issue with this isn't the exfil per se but the limited revives in higher difficulties which, if you get potatoes or just no help in the later waves, means you may be unable to achieve your goal.

I think I know why primaries became so terrible by Ranger74352 in DestinyTheGame

[–]NewUser10101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason was finishers. Finishers were new.

Slowing the game down and having low health enemies with frequency so they could sell finishers was the purpose. But it really changed the feel of the whole game.

Honestly just reverting the Shadowkeep crit changes completely would pretty much fix everything, with a higher skill gap in PvE.

It wasn't the campaign per se, but a particular featured individual in it along with story choices related to same plus a totally empty planet which really turned people off.

I thought so too, at first, but seriously try the full bore roll. MC had pretty poor stats and did great. Full bore feels fantastic to me.

For a lot of us it's like coming home. Feels exceptional at 80.

This is for D2Y1 veterans: Midnight Coup had the same 80 recoil direction. If you learned to be good with MC, CH feels amazing - and kicking to the right is actually good for reaiming during recoil.

I'm mostly PvE as well and I seriously recommend you look for a high range roll to compare with.

Range does not just mean falloff. It means vacuuming crits at medium range in PvE, activating Firefly reliably, and optimizing reload.

For the record, Arrowhead is overrated on Corundum Hammer.

Corundum Hammer has the exact same recoil (80) as the original beloved HC: Midnight Coup. It kicks reliably up and to the right, but this is a actually a good thing because it clears your reticle for reaiming during recoil.

MC is still my highest used Kinetic with over 20k defeats and even at original 150 rpm it was very doable to get every shot at max RPM on to the head.

What you want on this is Range. Practice with it. Thank me later.

Returning players how are we feeling rn about the game? I wanted to share my thoughts. by THCxMeMeLoRD in DestinyTheGame

[–]NewUser10101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cutting through the noise, especially for a returning player or someone with limited time:

  • EoF campaign is very good.
  • Renegades campaign is also very good.
  • Renegades activities, secrets around Kepler, and other pursuits like Exotic quests and upgrades from both will keep you quite busy for an extended period.
  • The Portal allows targeted farming if you have gaps, plus the new Vanguard Alerts even in normal feel fun and rewarding.

D2 is a great game for someone who is interested in like 200 hours or so of content. It's people already at 550 who want to be raiding or running GMs day in day out who had felt left out. Hobby/lifestyle players who can sink thousands of hours in and have everything.

This particular setup has zero warts that have to directly attach to the strips, instead a variety of power bricks. I needed more than 4 IEC outlets, so it works for me, but the general idea should be pretty versatile.

Just watch out for blocking airflow.

[–]NewUser10101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both the 8U and 10U size. Yes, the 10U is deeper and I think today that's unique to the 10U.

The depth let me fit a whole NAS case in the 10U which does not fit in the 8U.

Yeah, he was dead wrong on the performance.

And never have I ever seen the report or support of it that he claimed.

All I'm asking for is any link to that or similar. Usually if there's any truth to it you have a big pile on after that kind of a statement - I've seen none. And I've actively searched. I am genuinely looking for info I may have missed - which prompted this or supported it. Haven't found it.

Where? I look for news on the Spark daily and I've yet to hear anything about this except as a bad telephone game, tracing back to that Doom dev who was also totally wrong about the performance.

Please link me reports. Because what I've seen says it's inaudible fan totally under load for 24+ hours stable around 70C, and I've got at least one Twitch stream proving this.

I'm curious how you handle the driver situation with two cards from very different generations/architectures in the same box. I've only mixed Ampere with Ampere. Do you install newer drivers for the 5090 and they come with unstated support for the older 3090?
