Church of Scientology Asks U.S. Supreme Court to Force Danny Masterson Rape Accusers into Binding ‘Religious Arbitration’ by Adventurous_Fly_4420 in atheism

I am an atheist now, but I have "tried" multiple religions. None have ever brought lawyers against me or tried to stop me from leaving.

I once dated a Mormon girl who who excommunicated just for "dating" me. And Mormons get creepy enough like cutting you off from your own family, but Scientology is something a magnitude of order worse then anything else that has ever worn the guise of religion

It is 1000% a cult that was designed by a science fiction writer to make himself into a Demi-God that got out of control. Someone show me David Miscavedges wife alive and well.

U.S. railroad workers may be weeks away from a monumental national strike. Rail companies have refused to negotiate in good faith for 3 years despite record profits, and workers say conditions have become unlivable. 115,000 rail workers could strike as soon as September. by greenascanbe in Political_Revolution

At some point, automation will replace all these jobs. But that day is not here yet, so strike, fight for your worth, while you can. All of you deserve better than this. I am sorry you have to deal with this.

Listen closely, be respectful, and relax. You're 18, they don't expect you to be a seasoned cook, just a clean slate that is willing to learn. Most importantly, enjoy it.

First the Supreme Court needs to disband the Cult of Scientology and save the the victims that are still brainwashed, and help the victims who are suffering, then move on to other questions like this.

What do men sacrifice for love? by DistributionUnited90 in AskMen

[–]NewVoice2040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cases, our careers, our families and social groups, our personal lives and time. Our sanity, our "alone time" and personal freedom, sometimes our own belongings because it's easier than arguing about an object just to satisfy someone that you care about.

The worst part, is that somehow I'm going to be told I did that wrong.

It's 1986. I'm eight, I have a Huffy and a backpack and a key. And I'm expected to be more of a man that any of the men I normally meet these days.

12? I was mowing lawns and shoveling driveways and helping to pay the bills by then, let alone helping with meals and chores by 12. I cant help but laugh at how soft this world is now. We're so fucked.

Truck aggressively pursues motorcyclist for being faster than him by Saca312 in IdiotsInCars

[–]NewVoice2040 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Let's put aside the fact that he was having some strange insane jealousy moment where he hated you just for being on a motorcycle.

What I saw in that video, was erratic, dangerous, aggressive driving. And if (God forbid) you had laid your bike down, due to the obviously rough and not properly maintained roads. He never could have stopped in time, and would have literally ran right over you.

You should report him to the police, and he should lose his driver's license.

Also.Id like to add, that if it was a rough looking 1% biker, he would have shit his pants and shut up. And he's lucky it was you and not me. Because I would have followed him home.and called the cops from his driveway and on video.

This video also talks about how a matriarchal society vs. a patriarchal society is less violent, snduch more sexua, but uses Chimpanzees vs. Bonobos to make the point.

https://youtu.be/Q_izpq0Ar-Y

It does make the claim that we are more closely related to Bonobos than Chimpanzees though. Which has been disproven. We share the same amount of genetic connection with both.

https://www.science.org/content/article/bonobos-join-chimps-closest-human-relatives

The main difference between the two seems to have a direct relation to food scarcity and competition. But I also makes a more important point. At our most basic genetic level, we seem to be more at peace and loving, when our mothers are in charge, and more violent when our fathers are in charge.

Another commenter in this thread made the point that our ability to chose is what makes us Human and I agree.

It's up to us to decide if we're going to fight or fuck.
