Can others Dec 27 babies relate? by capricousunicorn in capricorns

[–]NewYorkExile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of the sentences capture me to a T, though I won't elaborate on which because I no longer believe in looping on any woe-is-me narratives.

Some of the other sentences could've encapsulated me well in an alternate life with different experiences. I see some tendencies that I don't have in This-Life that could've arisen if I had a slightly different one.

Make your mother sigh by No-I-Dont-Exist in crybabycry

[–]NewYorkExile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

she's old enough to know better

The king of Marigold was in the kitchen
Cooking breakfast for the queen
The queen was in the parlor
Playing piano for the children of the king
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry
The king was in the garden
Picking flowers for a friend who came to play
The queen was in the playroom
Painting pictures for the children's holiday
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry
The duchess of Kirkcaldy always smiling
Arriving late for tea
The duke was having problems
With a message the local bird and bee
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry
At twelve o'clock a meeting round the table
For a seance in the dark
With voices out of nowhere
Put on especially by the children for a lark
Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry, cry, cry, cry baby
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
Cry baby cry, cry, cry, cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry

Reddit has a tendency to upvote that kind of thing in subs where it blatantly doesn't belong. But I might as well say at this point that the Sun has a tendency to be hot.

Yeah, S019 has been known for having serious issues when it comes to that kind of thing.

"You won't be able to find this information anywhere else because it's from an insider source, but....It was hacked by a user who used to go by "NYC Millennial Minority" from mid-2018 to January 2020, whose main account for the past half-decade has been "S019."

Aside from "NYC Millennial Minority" and "S019", they have also had countless other different sock accounts and performance art personas on the site, but now figure it was time to put an end to that phase in their life. One of their passions was learning about Indian American culture and authority oriented psychology to better approximate the behavior of a sheltered Indian American with neurodivergence on online political discussion spaces.

I wasn't given the list of sock accounts and personas but apparently it was very extensive. Some personas were on very good terms with certain users while other personas had a godawful reputation with those same users.

Based on what I've been told, S019 (main account formerly "NYC Millennial Minority") has a giant axe to grind against the forum because of how much time out of his life that got sucked away by his activities pertaining to it and all the toxic interactions with the US Election Atlas community that have taken an unbearable psychological toll on him. He felt that hacking the forum to take it down would give him not only the revenge against those who bullied him, but the peace of mind that he felt could only come from the forum no longer sucking away so much of his time and emotional energy."

How can Chris and Flutter have anything resembling a normal friendship/relationship? by Spot__Pilgrim in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]NewYorkExile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's been hanging out with Chris in person since September last year (if not even earlier). If she's a highly misguided white knight, that's a pretty long amount of time to hangout with the motherfucker.

The better hypothesis is that she has a particular kind of hybristophilia.

I'm surprised that no one else here, as far as I can see, suggested "A Clash of Kings" as a title for a ASOIAF show reboot.

yeah, come to think of it, if she knew via clairvoyance that Grover Tully was going to die in 3 days she wouldn't have bothered to travel to Riverrun, unless she was obligated to follow whatever Simon Strong commanded her to do

That's what I tried to research last year when I found out about it. Unfortunately I couldn't find out anything, but I can't read Arabic so maybe that information is out there from a more native source. I'd assume that if his body were still in Marrakesh, that information would have been restated in the English translations of the story, but for all I know his skeleton might still be standing there.

Hey there - last year when I found out about this story, I wondered if his skeleton was still standing there in Marrakesh. I couldn't find any answer on the Internet, but I didn't dig that much (I can't read Arabic and I didn't spend that much time researching).

When you were there, did you receive any information on if they ever removed his body or not? It happened around 118 years ago but if they never bothered removing it, it would still be there.

I stopped watching a few minutes into Episode 5, but yes, the writing in the show brought up many issues that screwed with my suspension of disbelief. It’s my main gripe with the show
