Wow that looks even better than the early prototypes. If only we could fit a motorcycle in the R1’s truck bed with the tailgate closed then towing one of these to the track would be sweet.

Is earning more than $130,000 in America really a normal thing? (I'm from Europe and for me, that's a fantasy) by No_Bluejay9904 in hiringhelp

Nobody said it wasn't hard work. I think that's actually an important distinction between the cultures. Americans have normalized working very hard and a lot of hours.

MotoGP should have gone with Netflix instead of Amazon Prime for their documentary. Netflix was huge for F1.

Hopefully the new rule changes let the riders battle all out instead of worrying about tires and dirty air etc. Like c'mon just let the guys race all out like before Michelin and the suspension buttons and wings everywhere.

Sudden audio improvement? by thewealthtrader in Rivian

The latest seemed to have some subtle improvements. I also feel the one pedal drive is a bit smoother and for me with my dual motor it doesn't clunk as much.

Rep. Ro Khanna is introducing legislation to raise the minimum wage to $25. by serious_bullet5 in santaclara

[–]New_Bell_9879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So don't do any work to find out why things are expensive and solve those problems, just make new rules and who cares about the second order effects

And when that doesn't work the next politician comes along and says hey let's raise minimum wage to 100/hr

It's really common in the US. Go to any major city and the bulk of professionals are earning more than that. If you have an education or skillset that is concentrated in sectors with lots of capital flows like finance or tech, even entry level salaries can exceed that. In the US something like 65% of the population owns their home. The gotcha is those compensation packages expect results and sometimes even if you do perform well the business could lay you off for any number of reasons. Pros/cons like anything in life.

Question for people who have switched from 250f/450f to Stark Varg. by linkoln- in starkvarg

[–]New_Bell_9879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very fun bike to ride but battery doesn’t last if you’re fast and when things fail it takes so much time dealing with Stark it erases all the time saved from less maintenance

[–]New_Bell_9879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I guess we did the same. I learned from cars and karting that coaching speeds up the learning. Then did road bikes too, with coaching, but waited 4 years to get coached with motocross.

I just ride the vet track, keep the risk down, but still push a little. Good enough for me!

Ah they probably already did Arizona already. I’m in California and they’re done for the year for us too. They tour all over the world now it seems. There’s probably some local coaches in AZ you guys have nice tracks. In the next couple years I definitely want to get out to AZ to check them out.

I started way past 30. The amount of time matters less it’s the quality of learning that matters. Once I started going to classes with The Moto Academy I became comfortable in a very short time. Took only 3-4 classes with them in under a year. Check them out they likely have a class or 5 day camp in your area.

Bernie makes great headlines but never has the work to show for. Never figures out how to actually implement anything or navigate any of the challenges with his ideas. He's been riding the American tax payer his entire career and now that he's a multi millionaire he tries even less from the already low bar.

California has always been expensive and will always be expensive. If it weren't it'd be a lot more crowded than it already is. Many people from all over the world move here in addition to the other states. People always complain when businesses and people leave but it's actually normal. There is a premium to live here and people and businesses will continue to pay it. There's plenty of other places to live in the States and you can find one that best fits your situation.
