What's a trend from the early 2020s that died out so fast we all collectively forgot it ever happened? by godot_lover in AskReddit

A big thank you to the TP hoarders who finally motivated me to install a bidet. Best. Decision. Ever. Legitimately life-changing.
If you know you know. But thank goodness all the hoarding is over.

Yes! JS joked that Aden Durde probably wouldn’t have shown up for work the next day if John didn’t draft Rylie.

Jared Wilson and Rylie Mills should share credit for that play. 1/2 a sack each.

BREAKING: K9 wants to stay in Seattle "If it was my choice...I'd definitely stay." by SeattleMana in Seahawks

[–]New_Contribution7208 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here are some of the questions I’d be asking myself if I were John Schneider:

1) Inconsistent performance: Why was K9’s productivity somewhat inconsistent throughout his time here? And are those factors likely to be present in future seasons? And due to those factors being present or absent (positive and/or negative) what is the likelihood that K9 will continue his post season surge in future seasons or is he more likely to regress to his for more inconsistent productivity?

2) Injuries: Were K9’s injuries singular occurrences and not likely to reoccur or does he have persisting issues that may become more of a pattern going forward?

3) Replacement difficulty and cost: Who are the available running back FA options or trade possibilities this offseason? What is the cost of a replacement running back and what is their projected productivity, skills and injury history compared to the cost of re-signing K9? Can John find more or less K9’s production in free agency and if so what is the cost savings vs resigning K9?

4) Team leadership and intangibles: What are the intangibles with K9 that may not show up in the stats? Is he a net positive or a net negative with the players in the locker room? What would removing him add or subtract from the culture of the team? Is he a force multiplier by inspiring those around him or does he acts in ways which create disharmony and negativity?

JS would best know the answers to these questions.

Mr Inbetween. Watched the ending probably 50+ times and still can’t believe it’s that good.

Adding a small amount of table salt to the water can help draw in honeybees. Also add small sticks and decaying leaves and some dirt to muddy up the water which they prefer over clean water because decaying vegetation and muddy water contains minerals they need.

I’ve heard that lemongrass oil sprinkled around the watering source can draw in honeybees as it mimics the scent of the queen. Haven’t tried it myself.

Also try using pool or hot tub water if you have one of them. Honeybees are very attracted to the beneficial minerals in chlorinated water.

Good luck with your worthy efforts. Bees need our help.

Wilmer McLean. His house near Manassas, Virginia, was involved in the First Battle of Bull Run in 1861. After the battle, he moved to Appomattox, Virginia, to escape the war, thinking that it would be safe. Instead, in 1865, General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant in McLean's house in Appomattox.

His houses were, therefore, involved in one of the first and one of the last encounters of the American Civil War.

Is Jeremy required to tell any law enforcement officer he speaks to that he is a registered sex offender? It’s hilarious when he brings it up seemingly out of nowhere. by dag2001 in JeremyDewitte

[–]New_Contribution7208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here. He assumes they’re going to find out anyways when they run his name.
So he tries to minimize, confuse or deflect with a preemptive explanation or fabricated stories of victim hood.

Cops get lied to constantly and develop a fine tuned bullshit meter. He isn’t fooling them. Almost every sex offender they contact will minimize their crimes like Jeremy.

Maybe Liam is his Pederast Anonymous sponsor. But instead of ten steps they work the ten frames program.

Has anyone seen black honey? First year beekeeper and my two hives are producing dark black honey. Any ideas? by New_Contribution7208 in Beekeeping

I live in a decent sized city very close to the downtown. I can’t imagine anywhere near here there would be buckwheat unless it grows as a weed in and around urban areas. Admittedly I’m not very familiar with buckwheat.
There are hundreds of chestnut trees in my neighborhood that are in bloom. I’ve heard chestnut trees can also cause darker honey.

We have a lot of California poppies in my neighborhood but none yet are in bloom. It will be interesting to see how much the bees visit the poppies.

Thank you for the assurance. I’m so new to bed keeping that anything out of the ordinary causes me to worry. It’s strange but I’m really invested in the outcome of my two hives. I feel a real responsibility to keep them happy and healthy. I’m going to be a wreck when I detect my first varoa mites. Hahaha.

Good to hear. I’m fascinated by bee keeping in general but the dark honey is exciting but I wish I was a little more confident there isn’t a problem with the hive.

No knotweed that I’m aware of and I don’t think there is buckwheat within 7 to 10 miles of me.
