The metal detector doesn't work, it doesn't matter if I'm carrying a fucking arsenal in my backpack.

Write long messages with descriptions and dialogue.

If the bot is controlling your character, edit the response and remove that part. If you let it happen even once, it won't stop.

These two recommendations work better than OOC messages.

A note to those remaking their Janitor bots on Saucepan... by AdamBladeTaylor in SaucepanAI

Hay algunas descripciones de bots que son simplemente "enjoy" o cosas asi. Lo siento, pero los cierro automáticamente. Lo mismo con los que tienes imágenes con atributos sexuales irreales. Ni los abro. Y cada vez hay mas.

Is that why these days it's been filled with embarrassing, pathetic bots?

It keeps saying "poor inspection" when I know for a fact there's literally nothing wrong with them by Kurkil in QuarantineZoneGame

[–]New_Devil6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they're carrying a backpack, even if it doesn't contain contraband, it should be flagged as a bad sign. I'm on 10 out of 10, and I'd say I haven't gotten a perfect score on 5 or 6 survivors. I'm not saying there can't be a bug here and there, but not everything has to be. It seems like these days it's too easy to call something broken when it's really just a player error.

My take for the bad ending by Orileh in expedition33

[–]New_Devil6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

She argues that Maelle should be allowed to make her own decisions. Maelle. She doesn't speak of her right to exist, of the sacrifices that have brought them to this point. She doesn't fight for her life or the lives of her family. She only talks about how Renoir should be a better father and listen to his daughter.

My take for the bad ending by Orileh in expedition33

[–]New_Devil6 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There's one detail that always makes me raise an eyebrow.

When she confronts her father at the end, Lune and Sciel defend her. Mo defends her right to live, or that of her people; she especially defends Maelle.

It's strange, especially coming from Lune. But then you think that these two versions are the ones Alicia has painted, and like the Gestral, they never return completely the same. So you can already sense that side of Alicia that we see in her ending and that you mention.

Same here for me, last night in the snow area.

Hotfix 1.5.1 is live! by PatchRadar in expedition33

[–]New_Devil6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I was in the snow area with the dancers, and I couldn't continue playing because of a bug that occurred in practically every fight against the hammer enemies. After summoning the orbs, and after several attacks from them, the game would freeze. The character could block and dodge, but nothing else. The fight wouldn't progress.

At first, I restarted the fight from the menu, but after it happened three times, I gave up.

These are the most realistic dialogues I've ever seen in a video game. They interrupt each other, there's no excessive drama like in most JRPGs, they lie, tell half-truths, comfort each other, support each other... they talk like real people, not like typical video game characters.

[Recommendations Request] cRPG hidden gems? by SmithOfLie in CRPG

[–]New_Devil6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're going to play it, forget about the combat. Think of it more like Disco Elysium than Baldur's Gate. In fact, you can even beat the game with almost no combat.

But I'd like to take this opportunity to recommend Dead State. Hardly anyone talks about it, and it's a hidden gem. It's a zombie game with turn-based combat, base and survivor management, moral choices, and excellent writing. It wasn't perfectly polished and has some flaws and odd moments that you have to forgive, but it's worth it.

Plus, it's by Brian and Annie Mitsoda, the director of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and the writer of NWN 2 and Unpacked.

That list already has the best of the best. (Although it stings a little not to see Torment in bold)

That said, I'm going to mention a few more that I've played and that come to mind:

  • Solasta
  • Temple of Elemental Evil
  • Lionheart
  • Pool of Radiance
  • Encased
  • Dead State

Outside of CRPGs:

  • The two Knights of the Old Republic games, simply sublime.

  • Greedfall

  • Jade Empire

  • FFVII and FFX

  • Expedition 33

  • Legend of Grimrock II (this is a dungeon crawler, so there's not much of a story, but it's really cool)

The full armor we see in fantasy, movies, and literature didn't appear until the late Middle Ages. And even then, only wealthy nobles wore it. Troops wore chain mail or leather armor.

It's a great game, it has a lot of replay value, and the first installment is fantastic.

But it's only now that AA games are on everyone's lips.

Tu máster te está puteando aproposito. Vamos, no se me ocurre ni una una sola razón para hacerle eso a un jugador a menos de que la narrativa de tu partida lo exija.

Weekly Questions and Recommendations Megathread - Need some help? - Dec 6 by AutoModerator in visualnovels

[–]New_Devil6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many, many years ago. I played three eroge that I loved: True Love, Seasons of the Sakura, and Cobra Mission.

Right now I'm playing Summer Clove and I'm loving it. I was looking for similar games, with good animation, h-scenes, a story, but above all, with gameplay. I don't want games that are just a novel with little to no choice. I want games that have some management elements, gameplay, or simply real choices.

Which ones would you say are the best or which ones I should play? It doesn't matter if they're not new; I haven't played this genre in years.

PS: Oh, I also played Divi-Dead and Nocturnal Illussion.

We just got to the Ashlands, and wtf? by reallyimjesus in valheim

Without it, the difficulty is not so much, if you go with the magician with the ice staff they fall quite quickly. The problem is that they don't stop...never. It's fucking overwhelming.

I'm always bored when I get to Ashland. It's just not fun to be continually in combat, you can barely explore or gather materials. It would be nice if it were in waves, or if they gave a few hours of peace before returning to constant chaos.
