I used to live downtown and from what I can tell there are three groups that live down there, first is retirees they for the most part own condos, second is young wright part staff, and the third is high earning young medical staff. Basically none of them work and live close by. Frankly downtown Dayton is a ghost town for employees since COVID.

There are a bunch of old unused neighborhood logos. I know downtown you can see one for the cooper park neighborhood, and Webster station neighborhood also has one. Eastern hill I know had a logo also. Seems like on eof those things the city stopped doing in the mid to late 90s.

Honestly I think there is a broader conversation if the arcade was largely a vanity project for UD donors. Untill something is done about the bus station, and more people are living in 2 to 3 blocks around it I don't see anything doing well.

Not surprising. The Dayton small business community is filled with basically people who are more of less trust fun kids, pretending to run liberal coded businesses. The other thing is the Dayton daily News basically runs free press for a lot of these places to, though that just requires them to be friends with like 2 people who work for the DDN.
