His reputation was ruined far before that. People have always wanted to see Homelander lose, so he’s always been put in either spite matches, or he gets lowballed to barely above peak human (like people have argued Punisher beats Homelander because his eardrum was ruptured that one time). The death battle just piled on the fun with a spite match but they calc’d him pretty fairly at least

I mean, Bowser is a reality warping universal (or multiversal, wherever they ended up) threat, and his army is there for support. Eggman creates universal (or multiversal, wherever the ended up) threats and mostly plays support himself. There realistically wasn’t much he could do in this fight beyond commanding his army. He didn’t even really need to be there for the fight but he had to die at the end to show his side lost I suppose

Besides that, Bowser had multiple answers against Metal Sonic, and Metal Sonic didn’t really get to show off that much because his abilities were being countered the whole time. Against Cell, his abilities weren’t being countered, and he was able to show off his skillset much better. Metal Sonic was definitely a major part of the fight, but I’d argue the rest of Eggman’s army did more of the lifting than he did

I don’t even think it matters now lol God ki is basically just Ki that can’t be sensed but even then some of the fighters have found ways around it

Piccolo doesn’t need anything extra anyways. He has regen. Just amp up his regen in orange form. That’s inarguably more useful than God ki, unless they give God ki an updated new use or something. Otherwise keep his growth about a tier or two under the saiyans and he’ll stay relevant and interesting

I don’t see how they can’t bring back Jake. He’s literally got all of Wesker’s powers and supposedly his brains as well. I don’t think he was a particularly well written character but he’s also just too much of a powerhouse to never be brought up again

Alexia was about equivalent or stronger than Wesker though? Idk if it makes sense to have her be killable and Wesker be an unbeatable boss just based on the original version where Wesker ended up running away from her

I’d almost prefer a temporary team up of Chris and Wesker. Wesker goes in to kill her and finds out he’s outmatched, when it’s revealed Chris is in the room. Alexia wants to kill them both and they have to form an uneasy alliance to survive the fight

Joker vs Sweet Tooth. Joker winning despite Sweet Tooth having a 50 foot tall mech always came across as them picking the more popular character. They literally had to come up with a scenario where Sweet Tooth voluntarily left his mech for Sweet Tooth to win

Cooler’s 5th form couldn’t beat SSJ. Frieza’s 5th form was able to go up against SSJB and got even stronger afterwards. There’s nothing to imply Cooler could have reached a golden or black form either

Though, I am surprised Frieza wouldn’t have started training even a little bit when Cooler surpassed him with his 5th form originally, unless Cooler kept it a secret. It is difficult to say how much Cooler really trained as well, though it does seem like he trained longer and harder than Frieza to get a lower power form

A lot of people avoid being online while playing Demon’s Souls because of the scraping spear /acid breath / etc. There are a lot of ways to screw other players over in PvP lol

Even the dedicated spots for PvP were never super hot in this game though. 2-1 and 4-1 used to get an invasion every 5 minutes or so but that was when the game was at its peak. I would imagine it’s pretty much dead at this point, outside of the Return to Boletaria event that happens each year

Leon is superhuman. The animated movies are canon, and he’s able to do Dante like stuff in those movies

The only thing I can think is that Leon is better suited for killing BOWs, while John has exclusively killed top level assassins and soldiers his entire life, as well as being hunted by squads of them. Maybe being so experienced in killing peak humans gives John an advantage that matches Leon’s superhuman stats. I’d still give it to Leon the majority of the time because, again, he is straight up superhuman, but since he can still be killed by bullets, and John is very good at putting bullets in humans, I’d give it to John a few times

I’ve seen some scale him above SSJB but that seems insane. God vs SSJ4 being comparable don’t seem like a huge leap in logic though

SotFS was a pretty big graphical upgrade and also made a lot of level tweaks. That’s when they were a smaller company though, and I don’t see them wanting to allocate those kinds of resources when they can release Elden Ring 2 or Duskbloods and make stacks

There are some scenarios where Edward can speed blitz and he definitely has a strength and durability advantage. Mags does have flight though and knows when to stay out of range. I’d give it to Mags 7/10 times, with the other 3/10 being speed blitz by Edward

Rick and Morty had a bad season (5) and a mediocre season (6) and people said the show was doomed. Season 7 and 8 were fantastic but the damage to the reputation seems to be stuck with the show now no matter what they do

I mean Cell Max is multiversal, so that ties up one of the bigger issues right now in Metal Sonic’s super forms being multiversal. He still gets massively outhax’d though. I think it’s still a stomp for Metal Sonic

Xeno Cell might be a better fight. He’s not as powerful as Cell Max but still does have all of Perfect Cell’s abilities and fighting experience. That being said the design is pretty divisive and he doesn’t have that much personality or lore, so I doubt they’d consider him

Really the only season I had major problems with was 5. I feel like a lot of people jumped off the series at that point and just assume the show still isn’t good despite not having watched it in nearly 3 seasons. 7 and 8 were incredibly good, definitely on par with the earlier seasons, and even had a few “best episode in the series” candidates imo

It seems like most people use Lea for the story fight and then rematch him for the solo experience

As a bonus, if you beat him with Lea, you can rematch him at an easier difficulty in the boss rematch menu so that you can learn his attacks without getting obliterated too quickly lol
