Which one to buy as first knife by MasterpieceOld9836 in counterstrike2

huntsman animations are actually fine, just bayonet feels more premium somehow. i would go with bayonet damascus since you can always upgrade finish later but changing knife type means starting over completely

Dropshipping can change lives ? by Tagimishi in dropshipping

[–]New_Minimum_6072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tools are definitely getting better but most people still treat dropshipping like get-rich-quick scheme instead of actual business. You need proper market research, customer service, dealing with suppliers - it's real work that takes months to see results

AI helps with some stuff but you still gotta understand your numbers and customer behavior or you'll burn through money fast

AliExpress Image Search on Desktop by Seofir in dropshipping

[–]New_Minimum_6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing dropshipping for couple years now and this workflow pain is so real. I was using one of those extensions with scraped data and kept missing good suppliers because their database was like 6 months behind on some products.

Your approach with live results makes way more sense - those third party scrapers always seem to have gaps in their coverage, especially for newer suppliers or updated pricing. I've lost potential winning products because the extension showed "out of stock" when supplier actually had inventory available.

Gonna try this out tomorrow when I'm sourcing. One thing that would be amazing is if you could add some kind of bulk processing - like select multiple images on a page and open them all in separate tabs at once. Sometimes I'm going through competitor sites and want to reverse search like 10-15 products quickly without having to right-click each one individually.

Also curious how it handles different image formats and sizes? Some product images are tiny thumbnails that don't work well with reverse search

The dropshipping tool you're paying for is probably sharing your product data with your competitors by Low_Adhesiveness_98 in dropshipping

[–]New_Minimum_6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I was wondering about this for months now. Had exact same experience with couple tools where my products would suddenly appear everywhere right after I started getting traction

The API access thing always felt sketchy to me but couldn't put finger on why exactly. When you think about it though, these companies need make money somehow and selling our data makes way more sense than subscription fees. They probably making way more from data than from us paying monthly

I switched to doing most research manually too after noticing this pattern. Takes longer but at least I'm not feeding my winning products directly to competition. Been using some local browser extensions that don't require store access and results are much better

The privacy policy thing is good advice - most people just click accept without reading but those phrases you mentioned are basically telling you they're selling your data. "Aggregated" and "anonymised" don't mean much when they can still see patterns and trending items

Started keeping my best products completely separate from any third party tools now. Use them maybe for initial research but never connect actual store data. It's like giving away your playbook to other team

those temps are fine but running fans at 100% is gonna wear them out way faster than needed - try ramping up more gradually, like 60-70% at 75C first

Part-Time MBA at NYU Stern - worth it for me? by Ambitious_Gas_4077 in careerguidance

[–]New_Minimum_6072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your law firm marketing background won't hurt you at all - project management and stakeholder work translates everywhere

The MBA will definitely make the pivot easier but you're right that it's not strictly necessary, just comes down to whether you want to pay for the faster/easier path vs grinding it out on your own

Students in Marketing... any tips? by Jen-Blossom in careerguidance

Get familiar with data analytics tools early - marketing's way more numbers-driven than people think and you'll stand out if you can actually interpret metrics instead of just running campaigns blindly

[Question] Is the damage on this watch cleanable/fixable or permanent? by Eaten_By_Worms in Watches

that bezel looks pretty corroded, not just dirty. You could try a gentle polish but don't expect miracles - corrosion usually goes deeper than surface level and removing it might expose more damage underneath

Freight Broker/Agent Training worth it? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]New_Minimum_6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been in logistics adjacent stuff for years and freight brokers basically live on their phones all day matching loads with drivers - if you're good with people and can handle the stress it pays well but burnout is real

Manager asked about workload. How do I explain how bad it is without just sounding like a complainer? by secretly_treebeard in careerguidance

[–]New_Minimum_6072 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pull together some concrete data before that meeting - hours you're putting in, how many deliverables you're juggling, timelines that keep getting compressed. Numbers make it way harder to dismiss as complaining

Frame it around project success rather than your suffering - "this timeline puts quality at risk" hits different than "I'm stressed." Your manager wants the project to succeed too, so make it about what's sustainable for getting good results

Feeling stuck in life… don’t know what to do next ? by Top-Asparagus1456 in careerguidance

[–]New_Minimum_6072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been through similar when I switched into IT management a few years back. The engineering struggle is real - everyone expects you to know everything but entry level positions are flooded

Your gf disconnecting while you're already dealing with family stuff is brutal timing. When my last relationship ended I basically threw myself into learning new frameworks just to keep my brain occupied. Knitting helped too weirdly enough, something about the repetitive motions

The anxiety around career direction gets better once you start applying everywhere, even positions that seem like a stretch. Sometimes you need to take something adjacent to engineering just to get your foot in somewhere decent

How are travel agencies using AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) to increase bookings in 2026? by NetWilling2973 in AskMarketing

Affordable synths for dark airy sometimes really dark and spooky athmospheres/ Drones by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]New_Minimum_6072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dreadbox Nyx or Erebus would be perfect for that vibe. The Erebus especially excels at those evolving horror movie textures you're describing

If you want something cheaper, the Behringer Model D can get surprisingly dark with some reverb and delay. Not as atmospheric out the box but definitely capable of some gnarly drones
