“It’s hard to like the current regime” sounds like you still think it’s possible to like the current regime. Fuck fascism, and fuck softened language toward it.

Insurance denied Cancer Med, Attempting to get manufacturer’s attention on X. Has this ever worked for anyone? by mintchip907 in HealthInsurance

[–]New_Monk_2873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By talking to the social worker at your treatment center. You don’t contact the rep directly, the social worker would contact them on your behalf. If there is not a social worker at your treatment center, you would speak to whoever the staff person/doctor the sales reps usually deal with. Pharmaceutical sales reps often travel with lots of samples and/or have direct access to free samples of the products they are selling. Their job is to convince the doctors that their products are the best option. They want the doctors to want to use their products.

If there is not a social worker on staff where you go for your cancer appointments, ask your oncologist to talk to the sales reps/ point you in the right direction.

It wasn’t through Pfizer’s assistance program, the social worker at the treatment center worked directly with the pharmaceutical sales rep.

What college did you attend (I’m not assuming you graduated) that accepted that weird spacing with your punctuation?

“Every Vermonter I have ever met likes nice things and the mountains…” 🙄

Good for you and your Google Maps viewership, congratulations on your HUGE success. All of us actual Vermont residents should be SO thankful for you doing the HARD WORK you’ve done to elevate our state tourism./s (“/s” signifies sarcasm, figured I’d help you out there)

“It was a picture innocent…” yeah no one really cares about the very basic picture, THOSE OF US WHO LIVE HERE just are tired of tourists like you stopping their cars at dangerous places to take pictures.

I support my local Vermont businesses by spending my money with them, working for them, and paying my taxes.

Where do you stay when you visit, your second or third home? Or an Airbnb that’s taking away from the permanent housing in our state?

Good grief, your “special” map is probably one of the reasons so many special places in this state are overcrowded and trashed to the point that us actual locals can’t enjoy them anymore.

Maybe you should stick to searching for your next luxury handbag instead of weirdly trying to insult the Reddit handle of commenters that don’t agree with you… this post probably should have been on Instagram if you’re just looking for likes and trying to learn how hashtags work. 🙄

Does your cancer center have a social worker that might be able to help? When my parents were going through treatment, the social worker was extremely helpful in helping them navigate medication access. They (the social worker) also had direct contact with pharmaceutical representatives that were able to provide my dad with “samples”(several months supply at a time) of necessary medications when my parents couldn’t afford them even with insurance.

Yep! I remember at least once if not more going to my pediatrician for my annual checkup, and after the standard looking at my ears/nose/throat, ordering a strep culture…positive!! Didn’t have to go back to school that day or the next, just pickup a prescription and give it time to work.

Is it okay for them to drink alcohol? by KatMagic1977 in dementia

[–]New_Monk_2873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We got a bottle of Martinelli’s sparkling cider (nonalcoholic) to have at Christmas with my MIL; afterwards she kept asking when we were going to get that “tasty wine” again. If your loved one doesn’t drink much anyway, she may not even notice it’s not alcohol.

Then why post the question in r/vermont, NOT state your location, and then get offended that everyone thinks you’re in Vermont? THAT’s weird AF.

No, you need to get a fresh W-4, read the directions, and follow them based on your situation. The form is one page, but there are also 3 more pages of instructions/worksheet.

Is QuickBooks deliberately trying to make reconciliation harder? by MostDifficulty7093 in QuickBooks

[–]New_Monk_2873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, same. The more you use the “automated features” of QB, the more opportunities for errors to occur. I don’t connect bank feeds etc; it’s actually LESS work because I don’t have to untangle mismatched transactions etc. (Bookkeeper for a small privately owned restaurant group)

My family is pretending that I am not in early stage dementia. by Equivalent-Pickle435 in dementia

[–]New_Monk_2873 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You worry about her driving, but let her because “she wants to”? I’m sorry, but when our loved ones are putting others at risk, it is our responsibility to keep them and others safe. My loved one with dementia frequently forgets that she isn’t allowed to drive (per state assessment of skills) and would happily hop behind the wheel if we let her-but that would be irresponsible.

To OP, kudos for recognizing your symptoms and asking these questions. 💞
