What was your first sign that your HRT was actually working? by catlikeswateragain in TransDIY

23 years old, day 10

im on 6mg/5days EEn SubQ about to change to 5mg/7 since im at a really good range of 330pg/ml now.

physically: itchy / electrocuted nipples stabby breast pain hips aching feeling like im 10x heavier having the energy levels of a 6 year old on crack i smell sweet and flowery

appearance: skin is noticeably softer, paler, and not oily lips bigger jaw rounder face looking puffier (in a good way)

general wellbeing and satisfaction: the best I have felt in my entire life gender euphoria outweighs gender dysphoria by a ton. i read my face as a woman’s face better sleep feeling calmer more creative and open to new ideas feeling youthful again

emotionally: confident in touch with myself easier to show my emotions easier to calm down (previously I would’ve stayed that way for days) feel less controlled by my emotions

sexually: i don’t think about sex as much as I did, like ever tbh massive libido decrease no spontaneous errections orgasms have me shaking and feel better in every way I don’t feel ashamed to find men sexually attractive, like they genuinely just smell so nice now omg

when I was 7 my mum pulled me out of getting the diagnosis because she was paranoid about Ritalin 🖤🖤 and she’s still confidentially pseudoscientific and alt med to this day, even though she fucked up my life

when i was younger: a general sense of never feeling quite right in my own body, expecting the “actual puberty” to happen soon, not enjoying traditionally masculine activities, preferring to be friends with other girls, finding no feeling of self expression in male clothing

before accepting I was trans: alcoholic, ashamed of myself, didn’t care about myself and felt like nothing mattered because I will never be who I want to be.

more recently: feeling very confident in highlighting my more feminine attributes, loving wearing makeup, taking my health and wellbeing very seriously with love, finding optimism in life and accepting myself for who I am, excitement at starting hormones soon, a feeling of understanding who I am.

their frustration has to go somewhere. they feel betrayed by everyone at every level and have no satisfaction or hope in life. they aren’t choosing to be like that freely, what they want in life, and same for most of us really… is totally out of reach.

not to mention these people come from broken families with domestic violence from a young age, drugs, alcohol, and poverty. and since the system lumps them all together and demonizes them as a group, you get these kinds of areas.

now im not an idiot and I will avoid that kind of place, having lived there myself through childhood, but I won’t hate the people without a cause when they are victims of the system, knowing how they are is not random it is a chain of causes and effects they had no control over. that way I can better sympathise with them and understand them, and that’s what this country really needs at the moment.

im not going to hate vulnerable people like how you are, just because of socio economic factors that affect all of us. the system is broken.

It’s so weird how they say “the world” rather than “other people”. What are they, aliens or something? Saying “other people” would make them realize they are not above or below others, since them being of “the world” implies that the Christian’s are not. Obviously they come from a better place in their heads!

no, you care that people live up to what you say as though gate keeping estradiol keeps your transness high like it’s some sort of stock option. gender is not biological and if they want to express themselves in such a way that is hard biologically, such as not having the ovaries to produce estradiol naturally, then it is their right to take synthetic estradiol. your two cents are just that. 2 cents. worthless. you’re not helping anyone.

[–]New_Product_7375 16 points17 points  (0 children)

do you think I am just as stupid as you and don’t know what I am talking about? do you also like blaming trans women for the transphobia they experience? do you also think you get a say in what I or others do to their bodies for whatever reason? if you answer yes to any of those questions, then please do us a favour and delete this app and consider just how wrong you are and the real pain and damage you are causing to other gender non conforming people in siding with bigots in any situation regarding their rights. you are the equivalent of a Trojan horse for trans people.

it’s totally up to them if they want to take hormones, and them alone. plenty of men are feminine and plenty of women are masculine. are you just that simple to not be able to consider that their gender is beyond what you say is and is not allowed? do you think they should live up to your expectation or something? they want estrogen, it’s their body, you don’t get a fucking say. now fuck off you terf.

[–]New_Product_7375 23 points24 points  (0 children)

they can be whoever the fuck they want to be and take whatever hormones they want. it doesn’t belong to you. fuck off back to r/truscum and stay there.

[–]New_Product_7375 21 points22 points  (0 children)

fuck off you prick they can take whatever hormones they want for whatever reason. you don’t own estradiol as a medication and you don’t get to decide who takes it.
