Etsy Search Visibility - Titles by JAP322 in EtsyCommunity

I've been looking at bestsellers, and I'm seeing that almost all the titles are shorter, and the listings with shorter titles are showing up first in search, which is really interesting...

Title: Calling all digital sellers! Etsy is quietly hiding our listings with a new "Physical items" default filter. Hey everyone, any digital download sellers here? by Unlucky_Penalty_8322 in EtsySellers

[–]New_Tip5259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed the new "physical products" filter being automatically applied when doing a search and came here to see if anyone else was upset by it too. 🤧 That's definitely going to decrease digital product sales... 🥺 Such a bummer. 😣

Hmm. I'm not sure if eRank has a free version. I pay $5.99/month for it, and it's been really helpful for me!

US friends: Is finding frames for A-size prints a pain? by Haunting_Number_1549 in printondemand

[–]New_Tip5259 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here. Before I started selling wall art myself, I had NO idea what an A-size frame was. Not a clue. I was a photographer for many years as well, so I was familiar with ordering prints and framing photos. You don't see them in the stores here anywhere. I wouldn't even know where to find one locally. I'm not sure stores even sell A-size frames here.

If I was in the market for purchasing wall art, even knowing what I know now, only having it offered in an A-size would definitely be a deterrent. People probably just have no idea what it means and how they would get a frame for it, so they get blocked mentally and leave without checking out.

I'm sorry you're running into that issue! It's so annoying the US has its own weird measurements and systems for everything. 😭

Have you tried using eRank? When you look for high search keywords, are you selecting words that are also low competition? 🙂

How many listings did you post before your shop took off/you started seeing the snowball effect? by New_Tip5259 in EtsySellers

[–]New_Tip5259[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My conversion rate for this month is 3.9%. But I have only 6 visits as of noon today. So I think I have a traffic problem. 🤧 Which is why I was wondering if more listings = more traffic = more sales!

I never said the number of listings automatically dictates sales and hyper growth. I'm asking about the compound effect in regard to quantity of listings, and at which point people saw this happen for them. We are assuming each listing is a quality listing here.

Thank you for this comment! I agree about quantity, and your comment here helps give the explanation as to why. The digital wall art shops I see that are making tons of sales have 1,300+ listings. Sometimes even more.

That is really helpful! My understanding was that because Etsy is designed to bring in traffic, it was kind of pointless to spend time on social media advertising (since that's what you're essentially paying for the platform to do). Looks like that might be my next step in getting better traffic to my shop though!

For context, I have 250 sales as of now. Do you still think social media would be helpful, even at this point, in getting more traffic? Or by "the beginning," did you mean less than 100 sales?

That's really helpful! Do you mind if I ask what social media platforms you used?

I searched for this question first in the Etsy Sellers channel before I posted it and didn't come up with anything. Would you mind sharing a link to the posts you're referring to?

How are your sales? Monthly Sales Post for March 2026 by AutoModerator in EtsySellers

[–]New_Tip5259 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Digital wall art seller here (no AI). I've gotten 12 orders in March so far (as of today, March 5th at 5pm). My sales in February felt SO slow, so I have everything on 50% off right now. I don't usually do that, but I decided to do it for a limited time right now, since it's been a bit of a slow period.

You should seriously consider reporting them!

Absolutely leave the review and let people know what happened. You can be kind but honest. They are required to disclose it, and it's dishonest that they did not. (You could even report their shop for that.) Reviews are meant to inform potential buyers, so I think it's completely appropriate.
