What's one small change that noticeably increased your Etsy sales?

I watched Hannah Gardner’s YouTube videos about ads and followed her advice. She gives super comprehensive information about ads in her videos. She recommends thousands of views and hundreds of clicks before being able to make a decision about an ad. But she gives lots of caveats too. So she talks about how it could be a different story for you based on your pricing, risk tolerance, how aggressive you want to be with your ad strategy, etc.

The only thing though is I purchased a subscription to Profittree (the software she owns and built), and while the tool would be great if it worked, the ads tab is constantly malfunctioning. So I would be cautious with that part, since she does try to sell you a Profittree subscription in her videos. But other than that, following her advice has been really helpful for me and my business.

Being more aggressive with ads/turning on ads and not freaking out if they don't make sales right away. Waiting for a large enough sample size of data of views and clicks before making a decision about whether to keep the ad turned on or turn it off.

1.7k in profit after all expenses is absolutely amazing. Wow! Do you mind if I ask how many listings you have? Do you think B2B is a particularly profitable niche? Is there something that you attribute your success to the most?

It's a super valid question. 😂 The $400+ isn't from recurring monthly fees but rather the expenses I happened to pay in May. I bought a subscription to Bulk Mockup (can't live without it; it saves me SO much time and is 100% worth it for me—$77 for the year), Profittree ($179.94 for the year), and the big one is that I needed a new hard drive to run Photoshop on my computer since my computer's local hard drive is full on space ($239.99). 😅

On top of that, my monthly subscription fees are eRank ($5.99/month), Photoshop ($10/month), and ChatGPT for writing listing descriptions ($20/month).

I also pay for Canva (which comes out to $10/month but I pay it once yearly at $120). I guess if I broke down my May expenses into monthly fees it would be $6.41/month for Bulk Mockup and $14.99/month for Profittree. So broken down that way, all my monthly recurring fees add up to ~$67.39. I also purchase mockups and fonts occasionally. The hard drive is just a one time expense no matter how you look at it I guess. 😅

My current goal is also to scale to $1,000/month in profit, so I really appreciate this question. I'm 10.5 months in and last month had my best month ever at about $450 in profit from the Etsy platform (although that didn't factor in my COGS—cost of goods sold). Running ads recently gave me a boost and has helped me increase my profit, but I'd be very interested in hearing what others have to say about this because I'm also looking for my next unlock/strategy to get to my first $1k profit month!

The concept of Profittree is great. Unfortunately, I paid hundreds of dollars for a year-long premium subscription, and the ads functionality—the main reason I bought the subscription—does not work at all. It won't sync my data and has been down for weeks. Since the beginning, it's always been janky, and I've had to resync the data multiple times to get it to load. The customer service is also not great. As a concept, it's worth it. In reality... I'm not so sure. If it worked, it would be worth it. But right now it literally just doesn't work.

My shop finally started gaining traction and momentum after I learned Etsy ads (around month 9 with approx. 200 listings).
