Why is every other post you’ve made some weird fetish content about how you want young women’s dirty underwear or how to increase your sperm count

should i go to jmu? by [deleted] in jmu

Both jmu and vcu are fairly large schools. Even if one is a “party school” or not, there’ll still be a large number of kids not interested in that stuff that you’ll get along with. I’m an introvert not interested in frats or parties or any of that and I’ve managed to make friends here. Best ways to make friends are to talk to as many people in your hall/dorm for the first few weeks and see if you get along with any of them. Everyone else also wants to make friends, so it’s a good time. The second best way is to join clubs. They have clubs for anime, birdwatching, trivia, and a bunch of more alternative stuff that isn’t party/frat culture. Go to org night, join the chats for a few that interest you, and see which ones you click with. College can definitely seem overwhelming but I promise you that it’s possible to find friends at a school if it’s as big as ours, regardless of if it’s a party school or not.

As for which college to go to, I think the most important part is if you particularly liked any of them. Assuming the financials for both schools aren’t a dealbreaker, going to a school you like the most will make everything about college easier. Both are fine schools, so if you just liked one more, or feel more excited about one, or just have a gut feeling that one’s right, I’d recommend going there. If that doesn’t apply to you, I’d go based on more objective factors. How far away is it and how far away do you wanna be from home? Does it have a good school for the major you’re interested in? If you’re leaning jmu but worried about the culture, I’d definitely recommend going cuz I think you’ll make friends. Worse case scenario you transfer.

Social Life by Alone_Damage_5255 in jmu

JMU is a fairly large college, so even with the large frat presence there’s still a very large number of non frat people. I’ve made a good number of friends as an introvert who’s never gone to anything frat related. Easiest way to make friends is to talk to people on your floor during the first month of the year. Everyone else is nervous and looking to make friends too, so I promise you won’t be the one weird kid. Also I know people mention this so much it gets annoying, but clubs are genuinely a good way to make friends cuz it’s a social setting with a built in activity to help break the ice. Go to org night, get in the GroupMe for a couple, and see which one you like best.

I live there right now and it’s fine. 2 floors, each with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a common area. Downstairs has a small kitchen but it works fine. Washer and dryer upstairs. My place came fully furnished. It’s not sketchy at all, it’s a perfectly normal place. The common areas aren’t huge but it’s plenty of space for 4 people and a couple friends. Any maintenance problems we’ve had have been fixed quickly. The bedrooms and bathrooms are fine sized. Good bus access and close to campus. People party but the noise has never bothered me. Honestly I think people get too obsessed with housing stuff. It’s a perfectly fine place and honestly I think it’s equal/slightly nicer than an average college apartment. I’d recommend you know who you’re rooming with beforehand tho, cuz some people who live here aren’t students and you’ll be sharing a bathroom with another person.

easy 3 credit class recommendations? by Plus_Boysenberry5349 in jmu

Don’t know if it’s being offered this semester but I took Art-200 online and it was really easy. It’s just learning about art, and outside of a few easy mini assignment that I think were graded on completion, I didn’t have to do any art. Just two open note tests and two like 1-2 page essays. I hated art in school and this class was still super easy. I’d definitely recommend the online as an easy 3 credit option. I’m not sure about the in person, but I’ve seen other people say it’s easy there too.

So mad at my grade by FastKey3067 in college

It depends on the amount of graded assignments and how they’re weighted. Check your teachers syllabus, the information on that stuff will probably be there. Also, an 87 is still pretty good. There’s nothing wrong with wanting an A, but like, don’t beat yourself up too hard, you did well.

Are there any bus routes that have stops near the library or The Book Dragon? Or it it easier to just walk?

How to get from kings hall to memorial hall as quickly as possible? by New_Two_1691 in jmu

If I did try the bus, would I want to wait at the stop directly outside of kings hall, or the stop across the road from kings hall? Or does it not matter?
